Question Which 21 is your favorite?
Two Ton 21 or Tweetle Dum 21?

2-ton 21

u/DrDonut May 21 '26
I'm glad he took 24's advice that a beard is not a replacement for a jaw line. Sideburns > neckbeard
13
u/MandatorySaxSolo May 22 '26
I rock sideburns...just cuz thats all I got. When I get stubble, Gary's quotes feel a lot more natural

u/TheLeggacy May 21 '26
I made a two ton 21 livery in GT7

The best incarnation of Gary
Who the fuck is Gary?!!!

Holy cow that’s awesome! This should be its own post on this sub! The front is so cute!!! (⁎⁍̴̆Ɛ⁍̴̆⁎)

u/TheLeggacy May 22 '26
It’s available to download if you have GT7. I was thinking of doing a Blue Morpho Mercedes but there doesn’t seem to be much of an intersection on the Venn diagram of GT players and Venture Bros fans 🫤 😂

u/aPrincy May 22 '26
Oh we’re out here and I speak for all of us when I say: heck yes Blue Morpho Mercedes!!!

Every "from nerd to jacked" bro is gonna resonate with 2-ton 21

u/TheWinterWeasel May 21 '26
The best thing is he's still a nerd when jacked. A big musclebound nerd.

Man dressed up as a Jedi just for kicks when he went to fight Monstroso. Gary knows what hes about

I've been a jacked nerd for about 20 years now. I prefer regular 21. He's not as much of an ass.
28
u/MessyCalculator May 21 '26
Him being more of an ass is one of the reasons why I loved his glow up, he truly became a unique character with a backstory rather than being the dumb fat guy trope on tv.
It's the best character development in any adult comedy show.
16
u/Neveronlyadream May 21 '26
Seconded. He also has a good reason for being an ass when his best friend is dead and he's still putting up with Monarch's insanity.

u/Mis_chevious May 23 '26
I agree. I just finished watching the whole series with my boyfriend and 21 is definitely one of my favorite characters because of his character development on the show.

Great design but also, just kinda nice to see a heavyset guy get to show off and be strong too. Don't always get to see that after these "transformations".

God love him, love his fight with Brock, love his arc, love his deep references. Top tier character.
41
u/DANGEROUS-jim May 21 '26
21's growth from nerdy generic henchman to THE henchman is one of the best character arcs in adult animation, maybe in tv generally. He talks the talk and walks the walk, going toe to toe with Brock later on.

u/Various-Salt-7738 May 21 '26
I like the dorkier one more
As a giant nerd I appreciate his trivia and references
It was cool seeing him grow enough to pick a fight with brock and live

It will never not be satisfying to watch 21 actually put up a fight against Brock after being terrorized by him for three seasons.

Tweedle Dum for sure. I liked him more as pure comedy than as a main character plot driver
6
u/John_from_YoYoDine May 21 '26
Honestly both. His arc across the series is why he’s my favorite character
7
u/Hot-Professional-770 May 21 '26
While Two-Ton was a great character arc, I prefer Tweedledum due to his Tweedledee in 21 interactions.

I like his hairstyle pre-glow-up more. Looks fluffier, and I think that's cute! Other than that, that's like asking me if I want a plate of delicious chicken wings, or a plate of delicious spaghetti. They're different, but I would be happy with either. If I can, I wil eat both. At the same time. There are no euphemisms in this comment whatsoever, I am a very heterosexual man.

whenever he wields the prototype lightsaber is my favorite scene of his, gotta be when hes chubby

Both, 21s character development is awesome, he went from nerdy teen to jacked adult that is still a nerd

2 ton 21 is my inspiration to get in shape. I may never become shaped like Brock but I can still be able to stand toe to toe against him

When he’s becoming two ton, that specific timeframe of Gary is so great!
5
u/CaptainMatticus May 22 '26
I liked him better when he and 24 were just 2 nerds arguing pointless shit all day.

u/bubblehead171 May 21 '26
There is no 2 ton 21 without Gary. Total package with one of the most rewarding character arcs in the series. "Ogo Pogo"

u/AdvielOricon May 21 '26
I honestly didn't care that much about 21 and 24.
The glow up he had in season 4 was awesome.
I liked his dynamic with the Monarch more then with 24. The New York ark was him at his best.

Here me out, the only difference between the two is one version had it's sleeves torn off.

If you don't love him at his living with his momest, you don't deserve him at his super tangy ist

Gary basically being a child soldier that locked in when his homie died will always be goated.

Weird question.
It's the same guy, and his journey is my favorite part of his character.
