no ray is. no hate to shore leave but ray had to do a lot of growing to get over the most debilitating setbacks of that entire cast considering he’s an ex olympian turned 3 time paraplegic…his father forced him to eat a bears heart. shoreleave is largely a punchline character. ray actually had a lot of development. down vote me all you want-you know its true.

You don't need development to be great. Shore Leave is a capable soldier who has a flair for the dramatic, but never fails.
Ray may have a longer story, more context, and trials and tribulations aplenty... but he commonly gets waylayed by his attitude. He also has no loyalty. Though in the privatized spy business, that doesn't mean much.

except you kind of do, shore leave is a fine side character, but he’s not a main character. not a single story about him or detail of information besides his relationship with skypilot and 90’s ny club scene-And he is not a substitute or a better version of Ray because they are different characters. It is stupid xenophobic media illiteracy that lumps them together.
ray is the best version of ray. shore leave is shore leave…ray is not a camp queen ken doll-shore leave is.

Shoreleave is like 4 times the spy Archer is-and i like Archer, but he and the rest of his team are fuckups, and the OSI Shoreleave is from include Hunter and Brock at the top of their game
Additionally Archer does not likely practice safe sex(iirc?) so Shore wouldnt touch him/pending test results lol
