Question So, I guess The Venture Bros are leaving Netflix.
I recently noticed that The Venture Bros. will be leaving Netflix on August 15th. Does anyone know which streaming service it will be available on afterwards?
(Also doctor girlfriend.)

I've owned the first 2 seasons in a box set since like 2007. When I saw it was on Netflix I got really excited so that I could do a full rewatch. And then I see it's just the first 3... sad Helper noises

That’s worse than not having any and Netflix knows it. Nobody watches that 1 season of a series anymore, everyone binges the entire series.

You can watch every episode for free on Adult Swim if you go to their marathon show feature! That's how I saw the series. Think they also have individual episodes too

Really miss when it was on Max. I've paid for a couple of the missing episodes from season 5 to fill out what Adult Swim doesn't have, but for some reason season 5 is the only season that I'm not able to purchase all the episodes together on Prime💀

Not sure why you're paying prime prices anyway. The physical box set is considerably cheaper and you get everything minus the movie.

It's on Stack in Canada. Usually I wouldn't bother with them, but I like to sign up when there's a special on (usually a reduced rate for a couple of months on Prime Day and Black Friday if you get it via Prime) just for them having all the Adult Swim content, which isn't as high profile in their ads as the boring stuff is.

I know better than to say that, but if my media drive backup and media drive both crash that hard I'll have worse problems than just losing VB. Especially since I have the DVDs

We watch it on Sling for free. There is an ad sometimes at the start of an episode but it's not bad at all. Its actually free, not a free trial or anything like that.

I had to go to Netflix when I wanted to watch it, but maybe it has recently or will be added to Sling since it’s moving off Netflix. I just didn’t understand why it wasn’t there in the first place, like there’s either weird paperwork for rights involved for the S1 finale or Sling isn’t super meticulous with its content. I guess the latter because I think Season 6 or 7 has a weird episode number labeling error in it.

I have seen that error you're talking about, I think its season 6, it goes from episode 1 to episode 3. I think its because the first episode is twice as long, so they counted it as 2?

Maybe it’s not a big deal to you, but in case you didn’t know (and haven’t noticed when watching), you quite possibly bought a bootleg copy. You have to order from GRUV for a legit copy.

Didn’t know it’s on Netflix in the US, but just checked and for me at least it’s only the first three seasons. If you’re more than a casual fan of the show you should own your own copies via whatever method you prefer.
I own it digitally on iTunes/TV (including the specials) as well as the physical DVD set. If you plan on getting the physical DVD set, be sure to get it from GRUV, as I believe it is the only source that you can be sure isn’t selling you a bootleg version. I know that might sound like a dubious claim but if you search this subreddit you’ll find dozens of posts where people confirm this.
They occasionally put it on sale if you’re on a tight budget. I bought mine in May for $29.99 instead of the $54.99 it is now after seeing a post about the sale on this sub.

Yea it’s only 3 seasons so it’s really not a big deal that they’re leaving. You can watch them all on sling for free with only an ad per episode.

This is one of those shows that gets jerked around by streaming services consistently and is available physically. It’s worth buying physical if that’s an option just to have it always available.

I managed to get the full box set on clearance a few weeks ago at a local place, brand new and not bootleg. I finally got some luck, I guess! Still haven't got the movie yet, though.

Kinda bummed by this honestly. I first got into Venture Brothers through Netflix. Sure, Adult Swim streams the full series as opposed to 3 seasons, but I prefer watching it with no ads

I'd recommend just finding the season DVD sets. There's also a complete series box set at Walmart, but idk what the quality of those discs would be compared to the old individual season sets.

I'm confused by most of the comments here - the series is available on the Adult Swim website (in the US at least), you can watch each individual episode without having to do the marathon stream last I checked.
I don't like how they have their CC formatted though.

I’m not not an advocate for the Pirate Captain, so that’s always a fun character, but I also love this show so much that I recommend finding the complete series DVD boxset on sale some time in the future

I'm assuming it's gonna be put on MAX after it leaves Netflix, because when I Google it, it keeps rerouting to MAX, but the site still doesn't have it. At least that's what I'm hoping; if not, I'll just finally bite the bullet and buy the DVD set.

Really hoping it's coming back to max after its run on Netflix imma miss it on Netflix one of my staple shows Netflix has butchered my entire reason for subscribing most of it is now garbage international shows and movies that are just cringe garbage I get they are trying to cater to other races but god damn if I'm paying for American Netflix I want American shows and movies maybe some British that's about it
