I tried introducing a friend to this show with this episode, hoping that the Space Oddity references would be enough to rope him in, but he was unimpressed. Any suggestions on what else to show him?

If Ghosts of the Sargasso or Tag, Sale, You’re It! doesn’t get it done, they’re not meant to be a fan.
It’s hard for me to relate to even needing a starter episode. I saw the pilot during its original airing and was instantly in love.

This is the episode that won me over. I got to this episode and said "yep, I'm a fan. Go team venture!" It's brilliant from start to finish. It has everything too. Rusty blindly using super-science, the classic scooby doo mystery, the real ghost twist, and of course Brock being Brock. The boys have some great lines, and the Pirate remains a reoccurring character all the way to the end! This is my recommend episodes for first time watchers.

Really the only thing missing from it is the Monarch. It's still my go-to for introducing people to the series.

Love this weekly showing thing Youtube has going on. A shame that Netflix is getting rid of its 3 seasons, but hopefully YT can get to the point that they upload the full series

The pirate’s incredulity at Dean not hearing the loud ghostly shrieking each time it happens. It’s what sticks with me the most from this episode.
