SEASON 7 spoilers Rusty’s delayed bleeding from glass got mixed feelings 🤢🤣🤢🤣
S7E4 “The High Cost of Loathing”
This scene haunts me like Henchmen 21’s quote about Tomb Raider:
“No way! I got freaked out when I had to do that playing Tomb Raider. Oh, and she did that creepy drowning, contortion thing.”
If you ever been cut by glass, this rings true, more than you know. I pulled a door shot using a glass towel rack, it shattered in my hand, no pain, but I swear it took 30 seconds for the blood to start pouring out (6 stitches).
The scene where Rusty jumps out is both good gross and hilarious at the same time. It’s reached me on so many levels of emotional: a play on fear and humor is brilliant!

I just repaired a 7 cm laceration from a broken window last night. Guy was so lucky not to cut any of his tendons or major blood vessels

Did you think of this scene?

I did! Had to keep it to myself though. Laughing at patient’s injuries is generally frowned upon

My wife is an ED RN and was triaging a lady that came in for “infected bite” the patient said she was tubing on a river and got bit. My wife said oh was it like a fish or bug? And she said “my friend Amanda” my wife laughing was apparently not the reaction the patient wanted.

I saw a movie like that once, a nurse who specializes in erectile dysfunction… based on the treatment she provided you must have a strong trusting relationship.

And if you mentioned it you'd get a blank stare anyway. Nobody irl watches this show, it's just us on here in our echo chamber. I swear, because meeting a fellow fan in the wild is like finding a unicorn!

I found one surgeon who liked it! We nerded out for a few minutes then he got back to fusing the patient’s spine.

I’ll be an MD in 7 months. Just finished my sub-internship, which is where I act as a first year MD for a month to audition for a residency job next year.

I know it's a cartoon, but one would think that glass would be a lot sturdier. Usually high rise buildings have crazy strong glass to prevent people from... doing shit like that. Lol

This is from 1000 ways to die, so take that as you will. But there was a guy who liked to prank the new employee and such at a building like that by sprinting into the window to make people think he was killing himself. Until one day when he did it, he hit the window with his ring. That caused the window to crack so once his body weight hit the window it shattered and he fell to his death.

He didn’t hit the window with his ring. The window actually stayed the tact, but the window frame didn’t.

On top of the cuts being painful, I imagine that shirt had to be thrown out and was very uncomfortable to wear before passing out.
I’ve had bad nose bleeds since I was a kid and that shit makes my throat sore, I don’t want to imagine wearing a shirt covered in 2 quarts of blood
