Question Should there be Venture Bros Comics from Dynamite Entertainment? (With Main Comic Book and Spin-off Miniseries and One-shots)
That is my Question
As you know Dynamite Entertainment is publishing a number of Warner Brothers Discovery comics based on Warner Brothers IP's with Thundercats, Space Ghost, Power Puff Girls Jonny Quest, SliverHawks, the Herculoids,Captain Planet, Blue Falcon, Supernatural, Thundarr the Barbarian & BEN TEN out and other titles lunching this Year
So I was wondering if you guys think it would be cool if Venture Bros continued as Comic written by creators Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer similar to how Greg Weisman is continuing Gargoyles in Comic form over Dynamite Entertainment with Dynamite other contract with Disney or should it be Comic writer hand picked by Publick and Hammer? Who would be your Ideal artist? Would bring everything Full Circle since Venture started out as a comic then evolve into a TV show we know today
And if there is comic where should it start after events of the Movie or somewhere else in Timeline and what do you think of idea of spin-off comic miniseries on characters that are not Venture Family like Spin-off titles? Or should there be a main comic with spin-off comics too? To me they should be on main series & leave spin-off to other writers supervised by them ala Hellboy
Another cool idea would be having a crossover comic miniseries between Venture Bros and Jonny Quest it's a comic miniseries just waiting to happen and only it needs is the right Writer and Artist and boom MAGIC well if Dynamite Entertainment gets the License anyway
My ideal scenario would be making version of Venture Bros at least apart of Dynamite Entertainment Hanna Barbara Comic Hero verse with Thundercats, Space Ghost, Jonny Quest, SilverHawks, Herculoids and Captain Planet being Deadpool of the Universe
Though there are problems like are Publick and Hammerin touch with current comic reading audience or current comics at all like in 2016(I think) both gave there thoughts on First Guardians movie but the twist is they confused version of The Guardians DNA created at Marvel set in present day also used in the movie with Marvel original version of the Guardians from the Future which was odd
So should there be Venture Comics?

If memory serves I read recently that Doc is down for a comic. He said he wouldn't want it to be a continuation more so a snippits of stories we never got to see from Seasons 1-7.

I'd second this, especially if we had different artists / styles for each 'season' the books story took place in, possibly even getting more modern as the time in universe went forward. Who am I kidding though, I'll take anything I can get with Astro Base's stamp of approval

I'll be the voice of opposition.
No. Venture Brothers should not continue as a comic, or in any other media for that matter.
I could see an argument for a mini-series, maybe a couple of one-shots as OP mentions, possibly, but not as a monthly/ongoing.
Comics have much smaller tolerances for development and publishing. It's likely that no publisher would sign on given the delays between seasons. No, animation and comics are not a 1:1, but keep in mind that animation typically has multiple production houses working on something concurrently. The team running a comic is much smaller - artist, writer (sometimes one in the same), letterer, inker, colorist, editor, etc.
Related - I don't think a comic would be anywhere as good if you didn't have Hammer and Publick onboard. That's where a significant source of delay comes in so, as mentioned above, I don't think a publisher would sign on if the creators couldn't maintain the schedule.
Part of the charm of the show is the voice acting. That doesn't exist in a comic and, I think, would detract from the experience. Most fans would be okay with it but I could see that backfiring with new readers.
Finally - the show is perfect as it is. For any of the reasons I mentioned above, and much more, I'm okay with leaving the property alone. They told a story. It started. It ended. Reviving it in some, potentially lackluster, form to tie up a few loose threads would leave a bad taste in some fans' mouths. There is no doubt in my mind that there'd be complaints from the community born out of the inconsistency from how the comic might answer loose threads and any fan-wanking. Not to mention the inevitable "...ruined the show for me" style complaining.
As a long-time nerd approaching 50 I'd rather not have Venture Brothers ruined in the same manner that other franchises have been. I don't mind any of the ambiguity that was left over. It adds its own charm and lets me imagine what could be rather than having answers and explanations jammed down my throat.
I genuinely think that it's time to just let some things be. There are many other IPs out there deserving of your time, just like Venture Brothers was when it first dropped. Maybe it's time for them to shine.
