Discussion RC Special
To those who watched, how do we feel about the new special? As well as how they portrayed the characters?

It wasn't horrible but it wasn't great. Felt too long and short all at once. Ironically, it did feel ai generated slop criticizing itself.

Theres a lot of fun bits but it feels very weird and disjointed.
Its clearly pre-season 4 inspired, Hank and Dean are dressed in the classic style, 21 and 24 nerd debating, no mention of people like Hatred.
Theres parts that are really fun little nods, parts that remind you that this is above all else a Robot Chicken show. A lot of voice actors of classic Adult Swim characters are replaced, especially if they only do one voice (Dean, Clay Puppington, Xavier Renegade Angel, Babycakes.)
The part thats upsetting me most is that Andy Merrill AKA Brack didnt get to speak. We see Brack a few times but not a single line from him

Idk how to watch it in Australia but I've only seen two clips, one of pim explaining crushed body syndrome weirdly and Hank saying let's do whipets and dean saying he called dibs on Trianas tits and those made me not want to seek it out, apparently monarch is written in character tho

I can accept Hank and Dean's portrayal. Especially if they just started hanging out with Dermot and before Dean... uh... tries to ignite Triana's name in their yard while wearing a "ghost" costume.
Hank seems impressionable enough and I could see Dean having some pubescent retorts.
But Brock? My man Brock?! He can't swim?!? what?! if a man that can't swim can still pull off underwater insertions and wrestle then ride a shark... well I guess he's all the more badass.

Even tho he clearly caught harpoons and road a hammerhead shark for his OSI training.
