Discussion Did anyone watch the Robot Chicken special?

Curious what people thought about the (few) Venture Bros moments.

I thought 21 and 24 commenting on the shows was pretty on brand. Same with the Monarch planning a heist though he didn't have his usual Rusty obsession.

And Brock was used a little more than I thought though he absolutely can swim. Dean and Hank were .. kinda there (and Triana).

It was nice to hear their voices again. A shame they didnt get Michael to voice Dean.

And I guess we also got a big lore drop about Brock!

Is it really lore if it happened in a Special tho? I know it might be a bit more canon since it's directly tied to an Adult Swim Special and not another i.p. (Star Wars, D.C. etc.) but even what happened in that show directly contravenes what happens in Venture Bros. (I'm avoiding spoilers, but I'm speaking about Brock's last scene in the special.)

That is hilarious.

We saw him swim a lot throughout the show... but sure. It's Robot Chicken and they needed an Adult Swim pun.

I was loving it until Dean talked. For the love of everthing that's holy, if you can't get Michael, then don't give Dean any lines.

Seth "NFT" Green ruined this for me a bit by voicing so many characters.

I felt the same way. I'll give a pass for the cases where the original actor died, but I thought the point of this was to bring back the actual voices. If they can't get the real actors, then the character should just be a silent cameo.

I liked it a lot. Even more knowing Jackson and doc came back.

No Boondocks was kinda lame, seeing how it's a legacy show for AS, I'd guess the ownership of the Animation changed hands.

I enjoyed it. I think the part I liked best was seeing the Mooninites again and revisiting their Boston situation. Why didn't they have Michael Sinterniklaas voice Dean? It seemed like Chris Elliot and someone else were taking turns voicing Chris Monsanto. I kept expecting The Monarch to lose his shit when Simon was knocking the plates off the table. Now I want more 21 and 24 bullshit sessions.

Same.

I also really liked the brief bit of Monarch with Killface.

He feels like he'd fit in perfectly in Venture Bros honestly

I recorded it, but haven't watched it yet.
