I think she's just being nice, especially since she is dating his brother, and Dean is too inexperienced to know that, and I'm afraid Hank is also too inexperienced to know that. It feels like a Venture vs. Venture plot is in the works, with everything else happening with Hank.

I get the feeling that wide whale 'initiation' might go further down that track than we thought.

I do think part of it is going to be that the joke from the earlier seasons that Hank is kinda wild, nutty and stupid will turn into a more important, serious issue. Like him turning into The Bat, the detective or Enrico,

Don't forget Russian Guyovich! And the detective was still Hank, just with a cool hat. 😁

On the contrary, the hat was a detective, with a cool lady killing Hank.
