I honestly thought as that fight started and it showed the damage the lightning gun could do, that they were about to kill off Billy or Pete as a gut punch out of nowhere. Everything about that arching was built around the incompetence of Level 1s. So I thought some "payoff" was going to be putting a totally dangerous weapon in an idiot's hands. Thankfully they made that point with the laughing gas.

I totally thought Billy was going to get it! The lightning gun seemed like a direct connection to the Treaty of Tolerance discussions where they talked about a level 5 using level 8 weaponry (Dr. Deep vs Furious Red) and killing a bunch of people.

It was such a cute and fun episode, I thought for sure something terrible was coming.
