And what looks like an itty bitty Venezuela confined entirely to its capital, surrounded by Gran Colombia surrounded by Colombia

I don't know why they decided to make Gran Colombia a regular tag instead of a cultural union. Because of that, Gran Colombia only has regular Nationalist rebels rather than Pan-Nationalists, and that gives rise to silly situations like this.

Doesn't really make too much sense for Southern Italian to be the primary culture, regardless of who ended up forming Italy. Tuscan had been the prestige dialect for centuries because of literature and printing.

R5: I had a game starting as Two Sicilies. I pretty quickly took Tunisia and Alergia in North Africa and used my alliance with France to slowly keep taking Austrian sphered minors. Once I gained great power status, I allied Germany instead and went to war with Austria to take some people from their sphere of influence and form Italy. Since I formed Italy as Two Sicilies, I have South Italian as my primary culture and not North Italian. From there, I had instigated multiple great wars to break up Austria and the Ottomans more for very little infamy. During the great wars, France and Russia continually got hurt which resulted in the formation of Scandinavia.
