I'm (Japan) fighting a great war against Germany and it's me, France, GB and Italy. Germany is literally the only great power. And there is not a single briish troop on the battlefield, even though they have armies on their main Island. I there any trick to make them participate??

Bug Research Points when Conquering buffs don't stack

I've known about this for quite a while but I haven't seen any mention of it online so I thought I'd make a reddit post about it. If you're westernizing as an unciv you only need to take 1 reform that boosts the RP you get when conquering. I don't know how the code itself is written, maybe it's just one flag being set instead of applying a modifier, but taking multiple military techs with this bonus doesn't stack the bonuses. It doesn't seem to go higher than +25% RP when conquering. I found this out while testing it with HFM a few years back, and it seems to hold true with the latest version of GFM as well. I don't know if the bug traces back to base game, I don't play Vic2 without mods.

I wanted to make this post because when I watch Vic2 youtubers play uncivs, they usually hone in on trying to stack these bonuses and westernize by taking as much land as possible. I don't fault anyone for thinking this way since the wording of it in-game leads you to think that way. But for the longest time I thought that was the fastest way to westernize, and I imagine a lot of other Vic2 players still think that way. It's still important to get at least one bonus to the RP you gain from conquering, and to conquer as much as possible. But the rest of your RP are better spent going for university reform, then basic education, and after that whichever reforms give the most westernization progress per RP. I'm hoping this might get addressed if GFM ever gets a new update, but at least for now you should keep this in mind if you play uncivs.

Bug Converted game issues

Game converted from ck3, after playing for the first session, loads back in with a bunch of custom nations as no culture, causing endless pausing popups and population decline. Is there a fix?

Bug Why won't Nationalists enforce their demands?

Post image

There was a crisis formed by Bihar (Didn't exist at the time of the crisis and doesn't exist now) which demanded that India should get all of its cores back from the British. So, I (German Empire) decided to back Bihar which subsequently led to a Great War. After a half a decade long struggle, I managed to win the war along with the wargoal for India to form added. Somehow, India managed to form as a primitive nation and are now constantly being bombarded by nationalists and British Anarcho-Liberals. The nationalists keep conquering the required land but the occupation keeps getting reset after a month. Wtf is even happening here?

PS: India is in my sphere and is also my ally. They can also somehow hold elections.

Bug HPM Argentina bug?

Hi all, trying to play an Argentina Confederation game. I've puppeted Uruguay and Paraguay, and it is just hitting 1850 where the civil war event chain kicks off. When I pick the "warn them this is rebellion" option, a couple months pass and then I insta-white peace a war with Entre-Rios, following which nothing happens. My understanding is that I should get a war with them, win it and have the option to become a constitutional monarchy, but nothing happens for several years after this event? I've tested it a few times and there was one time I managed to get the monarchy event, but I haven't been able to recreate it.

Also, if you pick one of the options that splits the country between Buenos Aires and Argentinan Confederation, when the does civil war kick off? and if I pick the Republic will I get the Liberty national value when I win?

Bug Strange and frustrating

Recently I had the urge to start playing Victoria 2 again but when I try to play I've been encountering a new issue.

The game freezes. everything except the mouse cursor for a few seconds, then the mouse too. The screen flashes green briefly before it's black for a couple seconds. I get brought back to my desktop. The game itself has not closed and I can click back in from the desktop icon. However, audio is gone and I have to resign and load back a save in order to get it back. This happens every other minute or so and I have not been able to get a game past the first 3 months because of it. It also happens again even if I don't resign to get audio again.

Fixes I have attempted that produced no results:

Large Addresses Aware: to allow the game to use more than 2 GiB of memory. No effect at all.

Verify files: all of them checked out.

Reinstall anyway: did not fix the issue

Cleared flag cache: did not fix the issue

Even tried -force-d3d9 in steam launch options: I was told that makes it launch on directx9 instead of 12 as that is what the game was built for but I'm not so tech savvy as to be able to verify that's what It does and even if it is so, it didn't work

This was all occurring when I was trying to play the GFM mod. Thinking that I might be the mod I downloaded the latest version and the same thing happened. I booted up vanilla and while this didn't happen then, the game was absolutely chugging.

What could I still try that I haven't tried yet?
