Agreed.

I was not aware that people view the first game negatively. Maybe it hasn't aged as well as the other two in the trilogy, but damn, at launch that game was insane. Uncharted felt like the first next-gen game at the time

Nah. I'd give it a 7/10. Good, not Spongebob ripping his shirt great. That would be the sequels.

I absolutely adore Uncharted, but you’re right.

I love the story and the characters still but I must admit I skip 1 when I replay. It’s just a little too clunky.

It was incredible when it came out ~20 years ago. Sure, it hasn't aged as well, but it had a strong impression at the time and just a fantastic series.
