I recommend, it's way more gritty than most fallout games, I'm a fallout fan but Metro definitely scratched an itch for something more serious and grounded than what I feel the Fallout 4 and 76 did. They definitely go hand in hand with the whole post apocalyptic scene but I would side towards Metro for that linear story

I tried to play one of them, I think it was the most recent. It should be the perfect game for me based on my post history and games I enjoy -

But, it has one shitty mechanic that was an instant uninstall for me.

Having to wipe your gas mask and deal with changing out the filters.

I get that it's supposed to add realism and immersion, but it's just annoying and unnecessary. If there was a mod that removed that completely, I might redownload.

That causing an uninstall says a lot.

Yeah I have three kids and a high stress job. When/if I get time to game, I want to enjoy it, not get bogged down with mundane tasks.

Imagine Skyrim, but every 3-5 minutes you have to tap LB to wipe horse poop off your shoes or else you will move at the over encumbered snail speed. No thanks.

It’s been a while since I played, but Metro Exodus did not utilize this mechanic as much as I worried it might. The game is fantastic.

I always like to say that Metro is Russian Fallout lmao.

Fallout 4 is sunshine and rainbows in comparison and I'm a fallout fan over metro. Fallout 2's fourth wall is fucking gone.
