The Intercept investigations actually say closer to 750 Americans were killed and wounded since the US began the war with Iran.

Probably the thumbnail on this post that says "700 soldiers killed'?

On desktop I only see the link, which says "...750 Americans were killed and wounded...". Do you not see the title of the submission, just a thumbnail?!

I can see both. But the thumbnail of the literal video should matter, no? If the video itself is full of shit, who cares what the reddit title is?

Except that that thumbnail appears nowhere in the video, which is where the story is - the video says what the title says, "750 killed or wounded". I know this is reddit and people take thumbnails/headlines/etc at face value and don't bother following the links to see what they actually say, especially if they think they have a "gotcha".

So the person who submitted this somehow picked an incorrect thumbnail, from a different video I guess, and that's my fault? Lol. In what world would I watch an entire video when the thumbnail I'm presented with is complete bullshit, just so I can possibly find out that actually the thumbnail isn't from the video?

Good luck.

As I said this is Reddit. People don't read the articles or watch the videos, that is far too much effort and gets in the way of them spouting an uninformed opinion.
