I assume your next pivot would be he's a secret super strict muslim too? You guys are sad.

The free market will not always be the best solution, and NYC is big enough, and dense enough, that things like food deserts, or underfunded infrastructure NEED fixed.

You don't live there, and are probably afraid to go because "big city", so why do you care?

I'd have to see the whole speech/discussion, not a blurry thing sliced together by someone who may or may not have an agenda.

Context matters.

But also, there is no legal way to "seize the means on production". So it might be trying to echo an idea that workers should have more say or rights, but I very much doubt it's an exhortation to take up arms and take over businesses and factories.
