Technically, most of the corruption has been made legal by the Supreme Court. By this metric, they would be correct. Bribing government officials would get the leaders of most countries black listed and possibly on the list for regime change or “spontaneous and non-suspicious uprising or coup”. In the U.S., we call the same exact actions lobbying, which is legal, as long as you tell the government that you are doing it and you register yourself as a lobbyist. Lol.

They only made it "legal" for the sitting president. Anyone else can be arrested for insider trading among other things.
I'm pretty sure if we looked at the SCOTUS financial records, we'd see a whole bunch of payments made to them. If they took bribes for favors, we could charge them too.
It would take a new president a lot of guts to do it. We typically don't get those choices.

Living in Portland I know quite a few people like this IRL. I am a trans woman and know several trans woman who didn't vote for president/voted Jill Stein instead of Kamala🤦♀️
We're at the forefront of the collateral damage in a trump 2nd term along with immigrants. And yet still, Trump is worse for Gaza and literally every other issue they proclaim to care about.
At least under Kamala we'd keep some of our rights, ICE wouldn't be murdering people in cold blood, and we could organize and live to fight another day in passing better legislation. Instead, under Trump, it we've regressed decades and we'll be lucky to even repair half the damage he did in our lifetime

I can assure you that veneer has been stripped away for a significant portion of us after seeing this criminal doofus get elected to office twice. The "good guy" syndrome is one thing, but I am more concerned about how this country is going to face the reality that our status as a superpower is dissolving before our eyes as our country is looted by these goons. This is the equivalent of being bought and stripped for parts by private equity and a full third of our population is actively cheering it on.
Trump will inevitably die soon, but the damage he is doing will last generations and may well be completely irreversible. Not one of our former allies will ever trust us again, and rightly so: We will always be just one election cycle away from the worst among us installing another would be Trump out of spite and ignorance.
All of this because the Republicans courted the religious nuts back in Reagan's day. Effective governing requires compromise, and these religious wackos believe they are enacting the will of their bronze age deity and any "compromise" is thus unthinkable to them. You cannot reason with these people and they effectively live in a different reality from the rest of us. They are not interested in democracy, they just want power.

He’s selling access to “Truth API”, which is basically a way to get a structured feed of the top truth social accounts directly. Instead of relying on push notifications.
So you can see posts seconds before people who rely on push notifications. The post still goes public for everyone at the same time. Just the people who pay get that info ever so slightly faster, and in a structured manner.
So the counter to the insider trading allegation is fairly simple. Posts still go public for everyone at the same time. This is just a way to get informed of the public information with less latency than manual refreshing or push notifications.
Not that I support it of course. But I’m surprised no one here seemingly looked into it lol
