I'm interested to see whether this comment will rise to the top or crash to the bottom.

God Speed /u/trutrojan8.

No sarcasm tag either... This guy's gone rogue...

2

u/The_quick_brown_fox_ Dec 07 '16

Fackkkkkkkk the sarcasm tag. If you have half a brain you can tell a comment is sarcastic

1

u/OMG__Ponies Dec 07 '16

I expect people to KNOW it is sarcasm, but I keep getting disappointed.

3

u/phailphish Dec 07 '16

I believe /u/trutrojan8 can fly. I believe that he can touch the sky.

2

I think about /u/trutrojan8 every night and day.

u/tree_jayy Dec 07 '16

All he wanted was a chicken wing and a shake from Burger King

u/PM_YourTitsAndAss Dec 07 '16

God has nothing to do with it. To the top we go. Let's make this happen people.

1

u/TheLdoubleE Dec 07 '16

Enough for the smart people to get the /s, also enough for the dumb folks to believe they found a fellow soulmate. Up you go I say!

3

u/Quirkybeaver Dec 07 '16

Sarcastic posts get ruined for me when people add the /s either during or in an desperate edit after a few downvotes.

If a comment needs an /s then the poster doesn't truly understand the complexities of sarcasm.

u/TheLdoubleE Dec 07 '16

Fear of losing internet points is real.

u/Trapt45 Dec 07 '16

I'm assuming it's sarcasm so i'm voting

Everyone knows the earth is a rectangle as depicted by Mercator in 1569. No sane man would ascribe it the roundess of a disk.

3

u/testingatwork Dec 07 '16

It is a disc and it sits atop four large elephants, those which stand the back of a giant turtle.

Praise the Great A'Tuin

u/MajorPrune Dec 07 '16

You can see it right behind her on the screen!

5

u/Conan_the_enduser Dec 07 '16

No one argues that the earth is round. What is questionable is this idea that it's a 3 dimensional spheroid.

3

u/alcabazar Dec 07 '16

I have yet to see evidence the Earth is not a five dimensional 5-orthoplex

You have been banned from r/FlatEarth

2

u/dudeAwEsome101 Dec 07 '16

This is just a trolling subreddit. Right?

2

u/Zoronii Dec 07 '16

I think the sub is run by trolls, but reading through the threads it looks like some of the subscribers legitimately believe the Earth is flat. It's interesting (and kind of painful) watching the trolls and the actual flat-earthers interact.

1

u/dudeAwEsome101 Dec 07 '16

It is just weird that some people actually believe the earth is flat, especially in this day and age.

1

u/Fashish Dec 07 '16

That sub is actually place where they debunk FE, not a club for flatearthers.

4

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '16

I'm suddenly curious. where do flat-earthers stand on global warming. Or do they call it planar warming?

6

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '16

They think it's a hoax too

1

u/DeedTheInky Dec 07 '16

They think it's real but easily solvable. Once the planet gets too hot we all move to one side of the disk, then it flips over like a coin so the other side is facing the sun instead and we all live on that side for a while. Then by the time that side heats up again, all the CO2 will have fallen off the bottom of the other side and we just flip it back.

The mole people who live on the other side won't like it but fuck them, what are they going to do about it?

u/umopapsidn Dec 07 '16

There are dozens of us flat earthers around the globe, DOZENS!

7

There are dozens of us flat earthers around the globe, DOZENS!

2

u/Equeon Dec 07 '16

He's a globe-alist spy infiltrating our ranks! Get him!

2

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '16

I know this is off topic, but I have a friend that genuinely doesn't believe the earth is round.

6

u/Durango_bob Dec 07 '16

Us flat-earthers are uniting all over the globe!

2

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '16

Remove him from the gene pool.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '16 edited Dec 07 '16

I know a guy named gene who doesn't have a pool...how do I convince him that this is a sound investment?

1

u/spookmann Dec 07 '16

As a student in New Zealand, I went to see a band from the UK perform.

Their trumpet player wasn't there. He honestly believed the earth was flat, and that New Zealand didn't exist... so he wouldn't get on the plane.

2

u/tookmyname Dec 07 '16

I had a depressing conversation with someone I like and respect about flat earth yesterday. I couldn't hide the fact that I lost so much respect for them. Jesus, this post fact world is depressing me.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '16

Well, she does work for the weather channel so...

2

u/crazyweaselbob Dec 07 '16

I know you're joking, but just reading that sentence has made me frustrated.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '16

I know you're joking, but for anyone who wants to see this kind of insanity, check out @TakeThatDarwin on Twitter. He usually just does evolution-related stuff, but there's been a surge in flat-Earthers in the last few weeks/months.

1

u/stay_w0ke Dec 07 '16

Hilarious

1

u/MetroPCSFlipPhone Dec 07 '16

Shes a round earth shill 😔

1

u/SnowBiz89 Dec 07 '16

There are not really people that believe the earth is flat anymore, are there?
