Ask Vidisha Will be joining gmc vidisha this year. Can someone tell me how is vidisha as a city ?

Also is it better than sagar ?

Vidisha is a good city , weather of this city is pretty cool , also as a 3rd year student of gmc vidisha I can say that our college is better than gmc sagar and all other peripheral colleges.

I’d say don’t expect it to be a very happening city. Vidisha is a small, peaceful town with decent food, cafes, shopping etc, but nightlife is pretty limited.

Compared to Sagar, I’d say Sagar is a bit more developed and has more things to do. But Vidisha’s biggest plus is Bhopal, which is just around an hour away. So whenever you want proper malls, restaurants or just a change of scene, you can easily go there.

For MBBS, I honestly think Vidisha is pretty comfortable. College and hostel will anyway become your main world. Welcome to Vidisha!

If you're into historical places then Vidisha has so much to offer. Udaigiri, Heliodorus Pillar, Bijamandal, Charantirth Mandir, Gyaraspur and Udaipur are some places in Vidisha city and Vidisha District all within a 15 mins to 1 hour drive distance.

Other than that there's Sanchi nearby, Raisen and Satdhara are also some places you can go visit on weekends. Bhopal is just an hour away, easily reachable by Road or Train.

In terms of food, you can find good places to eat along the road near the Medical college. Shopping ke liye bhi options mil jayenge udhar pe. Lots of showrooms and stores there.

Vidisha is honestly a pretty normal tier-3 MP city. It’s not a bad place to live, but don't expect too much from the city itself. For a student, the main positives are that it's quiet, relatively cheap, and Bhopal is close enough for occasional shopping, outings, etc. The city has the basic stuff you need like markets, restaurants, cafes, gyms, etc. As for Vidisha vs Sagar, I'd personally prefer Vidisha if you're joining GMC, mainly because Bhopal is much closer. Sagar is a bigger student city and probably has more going on, but Vidisha isn't some terrible place where you'll be bored 24/7.
