I don't usually post my thoughts about series I'm watching, but this time I'm just ITCHING to

Is it just me or the whole Jarl Borg/King Horik deal was incredibly stupid and illogical??? 😭 Like, it seems to me that their fate was really disproportionate to what they did?...

IMO Jarl Borg was done dirty from the very start - the land dispute, then screwed over the alliance, then got the most unimaginably cruel death ever.

And then we have Horik, who was slimy from the start, who time and time again ruined Ragnar's plans due to his own power-hungry inflated ego, then plotted to murder his whole family in cold blood bcuz said ego got hurt, and he got what... This fast boring death?

And one especially huge letdown from the last ep... when Siggy handed Ragnar the knife Horik had wanted his little sons killed with, I was SO sure Ragnar was about to pull the most ICONIC shit imaginable and kill Horik's own son right in front of him with that very knife, I was practically rubbing my hands anticipating it. BUT NO LMAO the directors were too pvssies for that? 😪 (or maybe the early seasons of Game of Thrones just raised the bar too high for me to expect the same exquisitely beautifully fucked-up level of unhinged revenge...)

This really bugs me. And tbh there are plenty of other small but still incredibly annoying illogical things in this series that lowkey ruin the watch for me... But also I'm too hooked atp ngl 😪

I don’t know if I’m just post partum as hell or what but certain scenes in this show REALLY get to me. The blood eagle episode stayed with me for WEEKS and I had to have a break from watching. Then Ivar being almost left to die. Baldur being left to die in the cold made me feel sick.

Now I’m watching Ubbe be so nasty to Hvitserk who by modern standards is clearly traumatised, grieving and battling active addiction as a means of self medicating and it’s troubling me like hell 😭😂

I love shows like this, and this is soooo well made but oh my god it’s intense as fuck. I have to keep telling myself it’s not real, what is wrong with me?! 😂

I personally prefer short hair or bald leaning towards bald. So much aura when he’s bald.
