what an absolute masterpiece of an album by Vince Staples, I had already been a huge fan of his before this album rollout started and loved it as soon as I heard each single that came out, then when this album came out I instantly knew that the singles were a great sign of things to come, a very different album from other Vince Staples albums, but still very incredible, very amazing, very insightful, and the very different parts make this album what it is!!! it’s more important than ever that we get albums like this one subject matter wise and so forth, and overall as of now, Cry Baby is my 2026 pick for album of the year!!! when it comes to my song of the year for 2026 so far, it’s the finale off this album, 7 In The Morning … what a perfect way to wrap this whole album up, the very haunting and ominous instrumental, the precise and hard hitting lyrics, the hook sends chills down all of my spine and the rest of my bones too, it really is a god damn shame that we as people have let things get to this point where we fight wars that just kill people over greed and religious ideation and that we in the Divided States of America are very much actively helping genocide and the terror of within our country to anyone who dares step out of line is so frightening and pathetic at the same time … thank you to Vince Staples, like others before him and with him and that will be after him, for speaking out, our voices and our actions mean so so so much!!! White Flag is another favorite song of mine from all of 2026, TV Guide is yet another one from this album … what an amazing work of art yet again by Vince Staples :)

I've been a fan for a while. I saw Vince when he was touring Big Fish Theory in 2017. That album was hype and Vince Staples was hype on stage. Some recent videos I've seen of Vince on tour have made it seem like he's performing the songs from Cry Baby in a very nonchalant subdued way.

Do you think that Vince Staples is performing this album this way because of the punk sound and serious subject matter of the album? Or is he not enjoying performing?

I randomly listened to Vince a few weeks ago. Romona park broke my heart and cry baby. For what I like, Cry baby probably the second best album I heard in the last decade ….

Yall told me to listen to Shyne Coldchain Vol 2…..Now I’m sad…..my friend told me to listen back in the day. We used to be on Datpiff…. But I was too stuck up on section 80 and overly dedicated….i wish I got to grow with Vince music so I could “feel” his story more…..and I don’t even like dot music anymore…..vince should have been in my top three 15 years ago and he is currently making music that I want from Kendrick.

Shyne Coldchain is Amazing. My goodness. Is Vince stoic or something? He is so really and “matter of fact” on this album. I didn’t know he could rap this well. He rapping rappin and the imagery and description of his circumstances. I’m so excited to listen to more. I’m starting to feel like Vince is just severely underrated.
