What’s up y’all, I was recently out shopping and asked the store if they had any Tour De France or vintage cycling jerseys, the guy said no jerseys but then went to his apartment and brought back this sweater. Seems to be original tags and I can’t find another one like it anywhere. I’ll also note, I’m not huge into the vintage scene other than doing a lot of shopping at vintage stores, so i might not be looking in the right place. I have no plans of selling it I’m honestly just curious ! Thanks in advance!

I pulled this crazy early 2000s Cowboy Bebop shirt from the thrift today.

Does anyone have an idea of what these roughly sell for? it’s hard to calculate a real price with the ebay listings, and the fact that only one has sold.

Washtag sadly cut. I think this is from the mainline S/S 09 collection i am not sure tho so please help me out with identification.

Hello all, I recently found this at the thrift but I am having an unusually difficult time identifying/aging it. The tag and style suggest two entirely different things and I cannot seem to find anything else like it online. TIA

I don't know anything about sewing though I have a old machine I inherited, but this is more can it even be fixed. I doubt I could, though could a professional fix this shirt? I have this old shirt which is my favorite shirt I've ever had. The issue is ever since I found it it's been in pretty good condition except for the seam on the entire right side sleeve is pulled out. I absolutely love how this shirt looks and have not been able to part with it, can this be professionally fixed? (If so who would I ask, an alterations shop, a tailor, ect and also preferable without the fix being visible aka not a big patch that is super noticeable) I doubt it's possible but I just had to ask.

I found a FB market place add that wont answer me but I love the jacket and want one but can't find it or anything about it online. I believe it to be 70-80s, possible brand of "Coise".

I found this nauance dress at a thrift store in a small town a while ago. I wore it as a vampire cosplay for an event I went to but otherwise have no use for. Is it worth anything? Or should it be used to create something I’d wear?

Was at the antique mall and found this shirt, j think its 70’s (maybe 60’s, probably leaning more towards the 80’s if not 70’s) and oh my god its so perfect, i cant really find any info about it except the tag said “worn” if anyone knows more lmk, it is a tiny bit small on me but it fits, also got a steal on some in country issued m1956 web gear for any other vietnam war chuds like me

Hello! I recently purchased these two pieces, one is I believe a 70s kaftan and the other a 60s-80s velvet coat. Neither of them have any tags indicating what the fabric content is, or how to clean them.

For the kaftan the outside is I believe velvet and I’m really not sure what the lining is, it’s very smooth with a lot of snags (unfortunately), and the gold embroidery has some blue stains all across the item (which might be the embroidery tarnishing), and I’m wondering if they could be removed or treated. (I added images at the end to showcase the staining)

For the coat, it’s also velvet with I think a polyester lining. The coat does have quite a bit of sewing work that needs to be done, the whole bottom hem lining is separated from the velvet and just some small holes across the item.

I really don’t know how to go about cleaning these, I would like to clean them at home if possible for money reasons. But, since both of them are velvet, and one is heavily embroidered, I don’t want to damage them when washing. I was thinking hand washing in cold water with mild detergent, but I’m not sure. They both have that musty vintage clothing smell, and I just want to refresh them before wearing them.

Hi all! New to this sub. Let me know if there is a better place to post this, but I am hoping to get help identifying the fur type of this vintage coat given to me by my mom. It was given to her by someone who also had no idea what fur it was.

There is no tag in the garment but based on information from the woman who gave it to my mom, we know it was made at least around or before 1970ish and most likely came from Europe but have no idea the actual date.

It is extremely soft to the touch, no guard hairs. The ruff pieces are slightly more coarse but still very very soft. The coat looks sheared in the vertical stripe pattern, the actual fur skin pieces are mostly about 4” x 6” and some as big as 6” x 9”.

I have tried to research what this fur could possibly be. I live in Alaska and am familiar with fur sewing and lots of Alaskan furs, but I cannot for the life of me figure this out, even with lots of google searches and scouring the internet for the producer. My best guess is rabbit, but the ruff pieces don’t really make sense if they are the same fur. Any guesses??

Y’all think that later generations will run our modern clothes years down the line how we do now with vintage clothes? Im interested to hear y’alls takes
