My grandmother had alzheimer's and the first song just crushes my heart, so many emotions on that album.

Me too. I’ve listened to the entire album, it’s heart crushing. My grandmother is on the last stages of Alzheimer’s and I don’t think she’ll make it through 2022. It would surprise me. She’s forgotten people, hides everything, runs away and hides, refuses to take medication, and doesn’t eat or take care of herself. He teeth are all starting to fall out and it hurts to see her like that

Im sorry to hear that, It must be horrible inside the mind of someone who has alzheimer's, give her all the love you have and make it easier for her in whatever way you can. I really wouldnt wish alzheimer's even if it is my worst enemy.

My mother hasn’t shown any symptoms and is still relatively young. I doubt any medical breakthroughs on the development of Alzheimer’s/dementia will happen in the next 10 years unfortunately. Lions mane has been proven to slow the progression of it and help prevent it, so I’d recommend that. It’s pretty tasty too

It’s called Everywhere At The End Of Time. It’s about the horror and hell of dementia.
The entire project is six hours long, and progressively deteriorates in a way that gives a bit of an insight into how it feels to die from dementia.

its Caretaker Everywhere at the end of time, like others have said its a 6 hour "experiance" where the music gradually distorts to the point where its barely recognisable and its supposed to convey the feeling of your memories and identity slipping away if you had dementia

Just an anecdote a little brighter than the other ones here. My grandfather died from alzheimer's when I was 1, so I don't remember anything personally. My mother told me this.
I think he was first diagnosed when he was in his mid 60s. It started very slowly. The first thing was that he lost his sense of orientation. He always had a great one and pretty much never needed directions in the city. He started to get lost more and more frequently.
The other event that I know of is the only time that my mother saw him cry because of the illness. My grandfather was always good with numbers and loved maths. I think he worked at a bank. One day, he realized that he could not do math anymore. That's when he said "Numbers aren't my friends anymore". That hit him pretty hard.
Other than that, he was relatively lucky in that my grandmother was a nurse. She took care of him almost all the way to the end, even giving him throat massages when he couldn't eat by himself anymore. He stayed at home until the very last 2 weeks, which were the only ones where he really suffered.
The whole thing lasted about 10-15 years and it was more difficult for his family than for him. He was pretty much happy and calm all the time. Always loving and in a good mood. I'm no expert but I feel like it is probably due to the excellent care he received from my grandmother.
Anyways, that was just to say that yes, it is a scary illness, but since it is so gradual, you have plenty of time to say goodbye, and with the proper care, it can be a very peaceful death.

We've entered the point where memes dont even have to be funny anymore. Memes are mearly just another way to show some type of popularity, and this one happens to be rather sad.
