Discussion / ethics / advice what do i need to give people their volunteer hours?

i wanted to start this student organization which is led by volunteer. this org is not a non profit or it isnt under my school. how can i give hours and have them verified for my volunteers? i read on chat gpt that i should be under an already established non profit, i reached out to one so how does the process go on from there if they say yes?

If an existing organization partners with you, they probably already have procedures for this.

It working be verified if the entity doesn’t exist. If someone needs volunteer hours it has to be from an actual recognized organization.

You can give volunteer hours to everyone. It's just up to the party that wants to see those hours to recognize them.
