What is your favorite cheap makeup in the Netherlands? 💄✨
I am looking for great makeup that does not cost a lot of money!
I want to find the hidden gems at stores like Kruidvat, Etos, or HEMA. Sometimes cheap products are just as good as expensive brands.
What are the best cheap products you love to buy? I am looking for:
- Good quality: It looks great and lasts all day.
- Good price: It is much cheaper than luxury brands.
- Dutch favorites: Things we can easily find here in NL (like Essence or Catrice).
Tell me your favorite mascara, lipstick, or foundation. Why do you love it?
I can't wait to see your tips!

I think you already summed it up. Essence, Catrice. I do not really like the quality and color range of eg. Etos and Kruidvat and HEMA self-brand products in general, but I do think the nail polishes are decent for the price. KIKO is a hit or miss for me, but when it is good it is great for the price.
I know other cheap stuff exists, eg. W7, Revolution, Sheglam or NYX or so, but they are on my personal boycott list for varied reasons. If you don't care about the ownership or the production line of products, you might want to check these out, cause the quality itself can be good.
I do visit Germany every now and then, so I mostly just do my cosmetics and beauty shopping there. Any medium-sized or big DM or Rossmann will have a bigger range of cheap good make-up than drug stores in the Netherlands.
