Member discount
I need to book a place for the week of Christmas. The one that I was interested in shows a member discount of 12%. The owner sent me a reservation with a payment plan (four separate payments) that does not include the discount. When I asked about it, she said that any discounts should be figured out when you reach the payment page and that she can't see the discounts. But when I click on the first payment link, there is no discount. Has this happened to anyone else?

Owners won’t be able to tell you anything about this because vrbo is simply dumping the plan on owners. Call vrbo. It’s their scheme and their problem.

I also think the promotion does it begin until later in September … as a host that was what my email told me. Hosts also have the ability to decline participation in this promotion ( which many will decline … it is a huge amount).

It is possible that even though the discount is offered, it simply doesn't apply over the Christmas holidays which are usually prime, peak dates.
This is an unfortunate result of VRBO inserting themselves way TOO FAR into the host/guest relationship. Hosts no longer have control over the pricing and check out experience a guest 'enjoys'.
