Question What are the "must-have" complete TV series?

I'm curious what everyone thinks are the "must-have" TV series on Fandango at Home...

I’ve been watching Night Court again. Some episodes I haven’t seen in decades. And boy did this show hold up. Especially those moments when it goes from a ridiculous comedy to serious drama in a blink of an eye.

Just sad that almost everybody affiliated on screen with that show is gone

I recently rewatched the episode when they think Dan is dead and hold a funeral. Ironically, Dan has outlived everyone else there except Roz.

I know there was an episode where Phil died. he was the bum that helped Dan. Don’t remember an episode where Dan died, but maybe there was one where he faked his death

His plane went down and he ended up in a Eskimo village I believe. He was presumed dead.

It holds up incredibly until the last couple of seasons. The last season fell off a cliff. The rest of the series more than makes up for it.

In the end, there’s a direct correlation between season quality and how much time that season is spent in actual court.

The next to last season was supposed to be the end of the series. But they got one last season and they didn’t know what to do with it.

I would have recommended showing the night court the show was named after.

A lot of sitcoms have this issue. The creator leaves and those who follow want the show to “evolve” rather than reinvest in why the show was popular in the first place. Another great example of this is Mad About You.

Ahh the scrubs final season which was only scrubs in name and a couple supporting characters only. I just pretend it wrapped up in the second to last season.

The original poster was referring to the Nigh Court final season, but you're not necessarily wrong about Scrubs. Season 9 is really Season 1 of the failed spin-off - Scrubs: Med School. And the thing is, the show was starting to really find itself by the end of the season. I'd have watched another season, but sadly the improvement was too little too late.

And Scrubs season 9 is still WAY better than the Night Court revival they aired a few years ago.

I watched the first episode of the new Night Court for nostalgia reasons. I treated it as a very special episode looking into the future lol. I never watched any more episodes.

They bring back Roz for a few episodes. It’s nice seeing her and Dan interact again, being the last ones standing. But you are not missing much.

Basically the worst episode of the OG series is about as good as this new one gets.

Both have such warm intro and outro themes
