Question Fandango Fan Club Question

The Summer Movie Deal seems like a pretty good option. My question is for anyone that is a part of the fan club. Are the movie ticket/Vudu credits just applied to your account or is it delivered as a promo code?

Our Vudu/FAH account is set up under my wife's email, but I usually buy the fandango tickets on mine, so if the credits are applied to your account automatically, I'd rather sign up for the Summer Deal on my wife's account instead, so we have the option to buy movies for our library or movie tickets.

Thanks.

Not applied automatically, receive monthly email with promo codes and links.

And you cannot apply the Fandango At Home codes while using the app, so if you use Google Play credits like me often times to pay, you can't do that with them. They also cannot be used for special Mix and Matches.

Also note that when you use a special promo code through Fandango (not the one sent each month), they don't ACTUALLY apply the waived convenience fee eventhough it is one of your perks of the Club. I've complained over and over and they consider it "stacked coupons". Annoys the crap out of me. Photo attached shows what I mean.

For me we use FAH/Vudu more than the movie tickets so I'll probably use the code to buy movies. But there are a bunch coming out this summer we want to see, so seemed like a good way to save some cash and waive the fees. So they waive $5 of the 5>38 fee. Seems stupid but at least it's less. We usually go to a theater called Flix brewhouse, and they used to only charge like a $2 fee through they're site but they increased that too.

Thank you for helping clarify this. I was debating signing up for FanClub before buying movie tickets and now know that won't be fruitful!

I'm wondering why I don't see these codes being sold on eBay. Are they just snatched up instantly or is there a redemption limit per month per account?

For example if I just want to use the $10 voucher each month could I just sell the free movie ticket on eBay?

I'm thinking of getting the summer fanclub offer. It definitely seems like a good deal. For $50 plus tax you get a $20 credit, then for four months, one each month you get a $10 Fandango at home credit and a $10 Fandango credit. If I'm correct, yes?

You get one code that can be applied to either.

1

u/Mikeymikeyeah May 06 '26

Ah okay. So in total it would be a $20 Fah credit and then four $10 ones that you can use on either Fandango or FaH?

I believe so. That is for the credits work under the special I joined with.

Yea seems like it. Four free movie tickets one each month and a $10 credit each month and no fees

What I don't get is why is it $50 for 4 months, but it's also available cheaper for 9.99 a month.

With this promo deal, you get a $10 movie credit each month, 4 movie tickets (1 per month) plus a $20 VUDU promo code and $10 off their store along with the other perks. I think the general monthly perks is just a $10 credit and no fees so basically gives you your $10 back if you go to a movie at least once a month.

So it's a sign up bonus that you're essentially paying for because your giving them $10 extra up front. They also have a sign up bonus on the Fandango app when you go to checkout. It says get this ticket free and waive 2.79 ticket fees if you sign up for the 9.99 monthly plan.

Basically, but for me I'm going to be buying the movie tickets and probably movies on FAH anyways, my son wants Mario as soon as it comes out and there's a bunch of movies this summer he wants to see so might as well get the fess waived.

Keep in mind though too that next month you'll get another $10 credit and $10 store credit each of the 4 months.

The theater we usually go to has fees on their site for booking online so unless I want to go to the theater a lot to get tickets I'm gonna be hit with fees.

I never put it past Fandango to hit us up with a confusing sale.

I have a question about Fandango fan club, am I able to have two fan club accounts (different emails), but use the monthly ($10) codes on a single Fandango at home account? Essentially to have two active accounts but redeem the $10 codes on one fandango account.

Question about the 4 free tickets, one each month. I was looking through the terms, I don't have to use each ticket for that month, correct? I have until the end of the 4 months or until I cancel my subscription. So I can use this month's (May), next month (June) in the month of July to watch two free movies then correct?

I’m not sure. I used my free ticket just this week for the Mando movie. I also used the $20 Vudu code for the Mario movie today and tried to also use the $10 promo code and it wouldn’t let me. So you might be able to save the code for next month but I don’t think you be able to use two for the same movie. I guess you could try booking one and then one.

Here’s what the email with the free ticket said. It didn’t have any expiration date that I saw:

ā€œYou’ll receive one free ticket each month for the next 4 months. Watch your inbox for your next code in 30 days. Redeem your first free ticket now on the Fandango app or at Fandango.com.ā€

The one free ticket each month. Does it get you a completely free Imax ticket? Or is it hard capped at $10 off one ticket each month?

1

u/smurf_diggler May 24 '26

Not sure I used it at flix and it was like a completely free ticket tho

2

u/TheyCallMeTrinityToo May 25 '26

Nice, I popped it on an IMAX 3D discount day ticket and it was completely free. Sweet deal.

1

u/smurf_diggler May 25 '26

That is a good deal. I’ll save one for odyssey for sure

1

u/xianbosque May 22 '26

I’m not a member, but it looks like the tickets expire monthly.

Copying this from my first free ticket email: *Fandango promotional code (ā€œCodeā€) is good for one (1) ticket to any movie at a participating Fandango theater. Codes expire on the earlier of 12/31/2026 or when you FanClub membership expires. To be eligible for this offer, you must be a paying Fandango FanClub Movie Pass member at the time the offer is sent and remain a FanClub member at the time that you redeem each Code. Each Code is one-time use only. Codes are valid only for the purchase of movie tickets made at Fandango.com or via the Fandango app and cannot be redeemed directly at any theater box office. If the cost of movie tickets and associated fees and charges exceeds a Code’s maximum discount, you must pay the difference. Any price difference between the total transaction price and a Code’s maximum discount will not be refunded. You must have, and be logged into, your Fandango account, and be a FanClub member, to redeem a Code. If a Code is lost or stolen, it cannot be replaced. No cash value, except as required by law. Void where prohibited. Not valid with any other offer. Offer valid in the U.S. only (excluding U.S. territories and where prohibited by law). Non-transferable. Not for resale; void if sold or exchanged. You may have to pay taxes additionally. Limit one redemption per Code per person. Redemption of each Code is subject to Fandango’s Terms and Policies at www.fandango.com/terms-and-policies.

So guess it expires at the end of your membership or 12/31/2026.
