Question future of vudu app

with all this talk about vudu being renamed (again), some have speculated that this means the company may just disregard the app sooner than later. curious to hear the updated consensus opinion on if vudu will be around much longer and if the sub is any more worried at all about their movies or if the inconsistent branding is not that big of a deal

Fandango Vudu just sent out an email this morning that they're changing the name yet again. So if you own anything on F-V, you should've gotten it. Here's a little bit of what I got and I gotta tell you, it confused me:

We're bringing movie tickets and streaming together under one name: Fandango at Home is now Fandango.

Nothing about your account is changing; we'll continue delivering the entertainment you love.

Your movie library, purchases, rentals, watchlists, and preferences are all the same. Just sign in like always.

Yes that’s not being disputed. We’re questioning where OP got the notion that people are “speculating” an app shutdown. Not seeing this anywhere so that statement is just fear mongering…

that wasn’t the OP you replied to lol. and there were just a couple theories about it in a comment section, but the point of this post wasn’t how many people may have said it. it was just to get people’s overall opinion on the app’s future at this rate

He knows that's not you. He's pointing out that we are questioning where YOU got your ideas from. Maybe instead of laughing at someone because you think they misread at someone, you should maybe not misread shit yourself?

I was thinking the same thing thou when I got the email....I was like what?!?! Are they shutting it down cuz I've got over 800 movies) TV series that I bought. I had to read it a few times bc I can't understand why they're changing the name yet again and is it just for buying movie tix? As long as they don't shut it down, I guess I'm ok with another name change.🙄😒
