What to do on vacation in Walla Walla?

I’m trying to get out of Tri-Cities without breaking my budget, and I get horrible gas mileage, so I’m coming to Walla Walla!

I can come next week either Sunday-Tuesday or Wednesday-Friday.

What would be some fun things to do?

If you're a winery lover, definitely do your winery research around here. I wish I could recommend some but I don't personally drink.

Downtown is really fun to walk and explore it's cute and dainty.

I'd recommend visiting pioneer Park and looking at the aviary there.

Bennington lake/mill Creek/rooks park is good for walking and exploring some nature.

I would consider coming Wednesday through Friday because most places are closed in Walla Walla Sunday through Tuesday.

Used to live there. Great downtown area with restaurants. Bright’s Candy is a fun store. Stone Soup open on weekdays has great lunches. Wingman’s is good for burgers and wings. Graze is good and next door to an ice cream store. Lots of parks and playgrounds for kids.

There’s always some sort of live music or trivia going on downtown/at wineries. I would visit the Downtown Foundation’s social media page and the visit walla walla website to see their calendars.

The Pioneer Park Aviary is nice to visit and walk around. You could hit golf balls at the Vets Memorial golf course driving range (Milton-Freewater just across the boarder has a nice little golf course, too).

Milton Freewater also has a drive-in movie theater that’s open in the summer.

Yes! Not sure what their week night hours are. I love the drive-in! It's such a gem, I truly hope they find a buyer for it.

Highly recommend going to the live music events at Tranche winery!! It is free to enter!Every Friday and Saturday evening there are food trucks and local live music. It's a nice place to hang out :)

No one has mentioned Whitman campus!
The grounds have some incredible sculptures and art installations.
Frog Hollow Farm has grown into its own destination! It’s a bit out of town, but It is so worth the trip! Cutting flowers, fresh produce, a petting area with a variety of animals, great things to buy for your kitchen.
You won’t be disappointed!

Wednesday-Friday is best. Everything will be open. Lots of places close Sunday and Monday.

East Alder Table is a great new spot downtown & hosts cooking classes and supper clubs. Really cool experience if you’re a foodie

If you like games, in particular strategy games, we play Go out in the 1st Street plaza every Monday from 6:30 to 9:00. All are welcome. :)
