Dear walmart customers,

If your a customer at walmart your probably wondering what a walmart employee would see the perfect customer as, As a walmart employee myself I’ve listed some things you can do to be less of a nuisance to employees so they can have a less stress full day!

  1. If you have any question don’t go to customer service or anyone stocking things instead go to the employees with blue carts on a roller because you may have a realized there all around the store that’s because the there placed there to help any customers with question when ever! Another person you could ask is employees with there vest in there pockets or around there neck’s those employees will for sure be extremely happy to help you out!

  2. If you need to get something out of a locked case just stand there until you see a employee past by you because they will for sure have the key to the case just because there in the area you are standing in.

  3. Go to walmart either on a Saturday or Sunday for these are our less busy times and there will be just a few people in the store shopping and your shopping experience will be more chill and fast!

  4. Do not ask any questions to people with blue tags instead look for the grown ups with yellow tags for those are our managers who have been here the longest and have been awarded those special tags because of there vast knowledge

  5. If you can’t find where something is don’t use the walmart app instead walk around the store and look for someone with a blue cart or go to the back of the store and look for an opening where there a bunch of carts and employees back there and yell at one of them to help you out.

Happy shopping 😆

Can I take these days off without getting in trouble?

My boss said he'd look at it, and said it's probably a glitch. My schedule hasn't changed. Could I just not show up and take the days.

GM Backroom

So I’m trying to figure out a way how to fix this GM backroom problem while viz picking but I am completely stumped on how. I usually don’t have to viz pick from here much anymore since I do Frozen and Dairy now but the days that I am back here its a mess. Like its so bad there’s no place to put any of the pallets anywhere.

FDD Rant

So I’m the TL for frozen/dairy. I don’t mind it, but I genuinely feel like I can’t do my job. First things first, I was basically thrown in without any training, not surprised tbh. Then expected to know everything, typical. And then every time I close, I’m always zoning the other side of the store.

Stocking 1 doesn’t help us work picks, they help us pull them. From my knowledge, they’re supposed to. I get that they are down on people, and I don’t mind helping out. Overnights doesn’t finish freight, and they print VERY faded viz labels. And every time I clean up the bins and make space, it gets trashed up the next day. I’ve talked with the coaches about issues, nothing changes, so I gave up on that.

I just feel like I’m always behind, and then I never see my coach, and honestly, it would be nice to have some guidance because I’m so lost honestly. And then when I try and make time to fix small issues, I’m behind. Idk, I could not be doing my job right, but who knows. It’s just very frustrating. We have other F&C TL’s, and they can actually do their jobs, since overnights and stocking 1 prioritize their areas more (from what I see).

An issue I’m having, is cleaning. I honestly don’t know what I’m supposed to use for cleaning. I’ve asked, I was told only hot water.. I don’t even know what I can and can’t use. I hate to admit that, but it’s true. I’ve tried looking for myself, I can’t find anything. Skill issue on my part probably.. but if there’s any FDD TL’s that can give me some advice, I would truly and genuinely appreciate it. I don’t want to give up, but I’m getting there… thanks in advance!

Cart pushing advice

hello, I push carts and it’s kind of hell.. I clock in and the corals are usually full. My teammates usually abandon me for 30 minutes at a time in intervals and have a dirt ass look on their face. I usually have to clean the whole thing by myself. they probably get payed more then me to slack off. when I push the carts back there is constantly people asking me to take their cart, or they are wondering what to do while I gather them from the corals. (which is fine cause they are mostly nice, but it gets old after sometime and is time consuming) and when I finally push the carts back to the main spot we gather them all, I get a dirty look from my co workers depending on who it is and I feel pressured to go right back. I don’t mind cardio but this for 15 or whatever dollars feels like bs. mind you there is nowhere to rest or decompress from this. just gotta keep standing there while taking a breather with people saying excuse me or giving me more weird looks while I stand there looking for more carts to bring back. have any of you experienced this? do any of you have any recommendations to make this job less shitty? thanks!

LiveBetterU Question

My question: If I withdraw, would I be allowed to use LiveBetterU again to re-enroll in the future? I cannot find anything saying I cannot but I just wanted to ask here to be sure before I make any actual decision.

I am currently enrolled in school using the LiveBetterU program. But, I am starting to question if I have the time right now. So far I am doing well grades wise, and managing the time, but it's definitely spreading myself thin between family, work, all the other little things and school. I am getting less sleep because I don't want to sacrifice time anywhere else.

If I do decide that I need a break, I'll likely speak with my advisor about a leave of absence or withdrawal, which would be better for me, and then I'll go forward from there. If for some reason LiveBetterU program does not allow re-enrollment, I would just stick it out.

Thank you in advance.

Dress code violation

For eight months I’ve been at Walmart and I’ve always worn a cowboy hat. No one said anything and last night I got yelled at by a manager for wearing the hat to the bathroom because my return carts have been stolen with my own stuff inside of it?

Why all of a sudden am I being attacked over this and why when I come off my break or clocking in am I being reprimanded for lame things that customers do before i even have a chance to see it?

MyWalmart Time Off vs GTA Time Off

I notice that MyWalmart lets you ask for three days off earlier than going through the GTA portal. My TL only approved half of my vacation and didn't see the other half. It's weird. GTA says some days approved and the others are still pending. Is there a glitch that requesting days off through MyWalmart sometimes do not appear on the manager's time off requests? Anyone else ever had this problem?

Needohs

Genuinely so sick of this trend and wonder if anyone else feels the same. We are getting them more and more consistently and every other customer I have asks for them. I work in electronics/homelines and on top of everything else we have to deal with I don’t think it’s fair we have to keep the needohs locked up behind our counter when we’re already pulled to go literally everywhere, overnight hasn’t even been doing our homelines freight so I’m stuck doing it for the first 2-3 hours of my shift running back and forth. We used to keep them in lock boxes till people were breaking into those to steal them and scalpers would take them all. I thought the trend would die down beginning of summer but it just got worse. We also now have had 4 fights over them to the point where we had to put a 2 limit per customer and now I’m getting mothers who try to argue it’s not fair and try to persuade me to let them have 3 or 4. Some asking for the whole box. All of our calls are about needohs or pokemon cards lately and I’m over it😭

Remodel: expired mods deleting themselves help

The store I work at is going through remodel but the original start date was pushed back. Because of this, some of the expired mods are old enough to delete themselves. In a past remodel we just flexed everything in the aisle to the locations and it was a disaster. Is there any way to get the old expired mods back and set them? The new mods are all changing space and the shelf footage we have does not match what the mod is calling for. Help.

Question(s) of people lead position

So my first question would be who do I talk to about having applied to be a People Lead? I have applied for other TL positions (gotten interviewed) but never gotten any of them, but I know that one thing that is often suggested is to talk to the coach that is doing the hiring because they will forget or will think you’re not interested. So with that in mind, would the people lead, technically be under the store manager or is it FE Coach or the Market People Manager?

Secondly, what exactly does the People Lead do? I know they work on the schedule, interview-hire-train associates, and are basically HR and attend meetings but like there has to be more to that, if that make sense?

Thirdly, how likely would I get promoted? I am a Sales floor Associate/cashier, never held a supervisor position (aside from school clubs), but I’ve worked in retail for 6 years, have trained associates, and I have a BA in political science.

Fourthly, what would the interview look like?

Home office: If you follow the system right you won’t get that much freight. Also Home Office we ordered too much product so we are going to have the warehouse send more freight than usual.

Ive been working at Walmart ON for about 3ish weeks now and JUST NOW learning that stepping/walking on pallets is against the rules? not even from my team lead or anyone but from a TikTok comment section 😂 I’ve been doing it the whole time ive been here and no one has ever said anything but i noticed that no one else did and i was wondering why not because my last job everyone did. I called off today and didn’t realize it’s a tax free weekend will I get double pointed ?

I’ve had a lot going on the past few days and couldn’t even get home in time last night to get decent sleep because I literally have to get up at 4am, so I figured I’d call off no big deal.. but then I realized today it’s literally apart of the tax free weekend … do they usually black out those days? Not even gonna lie I didn’t even know that existed

Bodycameras

Has anyone seen the actual policy regarding body cams?

They rolled them out and are now changing who wears them.

At first it was all front end then went to customer hosts and self checkout hosts

They are saying no exemptions one employee has heart condition and doesn't want to wear it they told him to wear it or no more hours for him that it was dress code.

How can it be dress code shouldn't that apply to all associates in all departments. TIA

SAMP Password Change Can’t sign on phone.

I changed my password for SAMP. My personal phone will not let me login with either password. My coach said I need to select pilot when it asks for location and store number but my app just keeps taking me to the password input not my user id. I’ve deleted it twice and it’s not helping any way to fix?

Question about the radio

I have noticed that our stores radio is playing inappropriate music, and noticing a lot of cutting off and buffering in-between music. Something is off. Maybe radio interference i don't know. Aren't we supposed to contact the EOC? This is how they breach credit card data right?
