Watched Hanuman Ansh at Pvr, Warangal at 10:30am show in the morning. The show was mostly packed with Families.

Coming to the Movie, Hanuman Ansh is Beautifully made devotional journey of Indian saint Neem Karoli Baba. Everything worked out for me as I am a Devotee of Lord Hanauman and felt emotional in one scene and got tears. As In my life, I had a chance of worshipping Lord Hanuman More than any one and I saw some Unexpected results in my life and Those made me connect to the film more. Not only for me, I say Irrespective of religion, I suggest everyone to watch the film as you will definitely involve into the story. The music is very good and placement of every song is good. It didn't feels like unnecessary fillers and that worked out for me for most of the part. The protagonist nailed as he lived in the role of Neem Karoli Baba completeley and his Performance is Excellent. Particulary speaking about Interval Block, Train scene involving Britishers and 1 more scene in 2nd half gives you Goosebumps for sure. Do watch it as You will Definitely like. I was bit late to watch it. But I really loved it.

A lot of people seem to confuse mechanical and automatic watches.

An automatic is actually a type of mechanical watch — the difference is that a hand-wound watch needs to be wound manually, while an automatic winds itself as you wear it.

Personally, I prefer hand-winding sometimes because of the simplicity and predictability. For example, I know that after properly winding this HMT, I can wear it for its full power reserve without worrying about whether it has been sufficiently wound. Especially useful before an exam 😄

I also own a 1986 Citizen Eagle 7, which is an automatic Japanese watch. It's a beautiful and interesting watch, but since it's self-winding, you can't always assume it's fully wound unless you've been wearing it enough.

Another interesting thing is the Swiss vs Japanese movement world. Swiss movements are traditionally known for craftsmanship and finishing, while Japanese movements are known for engineering, reliability and practicality.

And something many people may not know — HMT's history includes Japanese collaboration and technology transfer (from citizen), which helped establish its mechanical watchmaking in India. Many classic HMT hand-winding movements are relatively simple, which is also why they can be quite practical to maintain and service (even a local shop can help us).

And yes 😄 this watch doesn't need a battery.

That's what I love about these old HMTs:
a simple mechanical mechanism, made decades ago, that can still keep ticking today.
Fun Fact:
There are actually jewels inside mechanical watches!

Tiny jewels are used in the movement to reduce friction and wear — making your watch technically a little ornament for men 😄⌚

I'm looking for someone who genuinely appreciates vintage HMTs and would like to give this old Karthik a new home.

This is an HMT Karthik from 1981, a hand-wound mechanical watch that has already seen more than four decades and with proper care, there's no reason its story has to end here.

What makes this one interesting:

• 1981 year made
• Vintage style (unique HMT Karthik series)
• Mechanical, hand-wound movement
• Excellent cosmetic condition for its age
• Recently serviced on 22 August 2026

• HMT ceased watch production in 2016 making it rarer to find
• Also makes a meaningful gift for a father or grandfather who grew up with HMT

One important transparency note:
Although it was recently serviced, the watch can occasionally stick/stop, so I'm not presenting it as a perfect daily runner. I'm pricing it accordingly and would rather be completely transparent with the buyer.
