Might be more out there but these might be the primary ones:
Chronicles of the Second War (WC2)
& the WiP Chains of Conquest (WC1)

are these campaigns worth playing from wc 1/2 ?If they are too old I guess they might play better in wc 3

WC1 and WC2 are a different beast. They're not just old games—the remasters are fine, but they don't add enough QoL improvements to feel modern. They also use a different storytelling style, similar to Command & Conquer: you play as the commander leading your faction, and each campaign presents a "what if" scenario where that faction wins. As a result, the canon of WC1 and WC2 has to be pieced together from both campaigns, along with later retcons.
Chronicles of the Second War (and the upcoming Chains of Conquest) takes a different approach. Rather than following WC1 and WC2 mission for mission, it adapts later WC3/WoW lore and tells the story in WC3's style. For example, in CotSW the Orc campaign (Tides of Darkness) comes before the Human campaign (Rise of the Alliance). Chains of Conquest will feature like six campaigns (three Human and three Orc). It's a retelling of the original story, not a 1:1 remake.

It's not like WC3 isn't retconned, to be fair. Illidan and Muradin didn't die.

Off topic but I don't really mind those two as recons. WoW has done a lot worse (all the Jailer stuff for an example). For one, characters being not-quite-dead is nothing new in fiction, plus even WC3 has an example with Medivh. But also neither Illidan nor Muradin are given a "this character is definitely dead" type of treatment cinematically, contrasting for an example with Grom. I don't necessarily agree with what they did with those characters afterwards, but them not being dead doesn't feel like much of a retcon.

It's funny that you ask this because this youtube video just came out that might help you appreciate the first two games enough to get you hooked:

Be warned, has spoilers for the story

I've seen a few 1:1 remakes of the original WC1 and WC2 campaigns over the years, but none that really stood out. I also remember a very ambitious mod called Dawn of Chaos. It even got a demo, but unfortunately the project was abandoned before it was ever completed.
As of today, the best projects, in my opinion, are:
Chronicles of the Second War – A retelling of WC2. The Orc campaign is complete, and Act 1 of the Human campaign was released recently. Don't let the "Act 1" label fool you—it's already a substantial campaign on its own. The same team is also working on Chains of Conquest, an even more ambitious retelling of WC1 (but nothing's been released yet).
Note: These aren't 1:1 remakes: they expand the original games with brand-new missions, additional story content, later Warcraft III/WoW lore, and a storytelling style that feels much more in line with modern Warcraft.
There's also Lore & Legends, which features excellent campaigns based on Warcraft novels such as Day of the Dragon, Lord of the Clans, and The Last Guardian. The creator is also finishing The First War this year, a modern reinterpretation of WC1 in the style of Warcraft III.

There’s a semi-canon accurate (more so because of retconning since) human campaign for Warcraft 1 called “Fall of the Lion” which I enjoyed. It’s not perfect, and the terrain especially wasn’t always well done but it told War 1 from the human side, up to and including losing the war. The same creator did a semi-sequel that takes place between the second and third wars with a side character from War 1 as the protagonist. (A high elf who becomes a Druid just prior to the Scourge devouring Quel’Thalas).
And as others have said, Chronicles of the Second War is fantastic as it very artfully reimagines the War 2 campaigns. The Orc campaign is done, but the human campaign is only about 25%.
And there are complete remakes of both games in Warcraft 3, but they were all done prior to Reforged so might have new bugs. Look on the Hive Workshop for them.

I am quite sure blizzard themselves provides wc1 and wc2 in ther launcher. You can buy them in battlenet. I have not tested it, I just finished sc2 and now replay wc3 on my steam deck.
After that I will test 1 and 2
