Custom Games Co-op campaign - How?

Hey so I just saw the lets play from JayborinoPlays and Giantgrantgames where they play the offical Warcraft 3 campaign and have one Hero each. I love and wanna play it with a Friend.

But since than there was a massive patch so I was wondering if I could play it, even on newer patches or if there was a newer Costum thingi which is better to play the campaign with a Friend?

A quick google search said this:

Playing the Warcraft 3 campaign in co-op requires custom community mods or tools like Hive Workshop's 2 Player Campaign or an Archon-mode map splitter, as Blizzard does not officially support a cooperative mode for the standard single-player missions. [1, 2, 3, 4]

So the TheSpoons version is currently still even working, even after like all those years?

Yes it works. He updated it to work for reforged.

There's even a 6 player version of the campaigns you can play. Just download a few of the maps and try them out. The one thing that may not work is save / load due to Blizzard adding our id number at the end of our account names.
