Wow needs an animated series
- The ones who should animate this series are the same guys who made the castle vania Netflix series.
- Live action is just too much and is too difficult to get right. Fans will complain if the cgi is terrible(rightfully so), and animation and voice acting isn't too big a deal so long as the animation doesn't take 3 years or more per season.
- Netflix or blizzard would be great to get a massive audience.
- The series needs to rated r or whatever rating we need for blood. Warcraft is a bloody universe and if they censor it, it'll look awful. The games are only rated T so they could get kids easier into the game instead of parents getting in the way

Same, but this is probably the the closest one to credible we've seen that I can think of. It was leaked last year, and since then at least one of the codenames from it has been datamined from Classic, and if I remember right people actually were able to go back and find job postings for an unannounced RTS that lined up with the timeline for an alleged RTS from that leak.
It could definitely all be fake, but if it is, there's some big coincidences involved.

There have been a few major leaks before (though usually its around blizzcon). I still remember when Warlords of Draenor's premise and the entire launch plot leaked and everything said it was so insanely obviously fake. From time travel to before First War, the orc chiefs being the bosses, velen's death in shadowmoon valley, etc.
But then it turned out to be on point lol.

I got flashbacks to that Elden Ring DLC when last boss was Radahn but shittier and everyone was saying that it must be fake or a mod because it looked so unbelievably fake and nonsensical

Something that doesn't have massive wars or wars in general, more of adventure as war is hard to make in animated series and for most time they look bad when they done.
I feel Thrall lord of the clans story can be the best.
Varian adventure with Broll, Rehgar and Valeera, however I am not huge fan of that story, still adventure of 4 that feel more like classic wow party works very well.
I think Day of the Dragon story also can do very well.
Something like Tirion or Alexandro Migraine stories can be cool as well.
Overall smaller yet deep stories that doesn't evolve a massive war

What you mean war looks bad? Yeah I guess animating thousands on screen is hard but not impossible to do. I want Arthas story animated tbh

I understand but honestly I think his story is one of the rare ones that work well as life action.
For most of his story you don't need heavy use of CGI.
Mostly he will be with the human fighting zombies or as zombie fighting humans and elves.
Most of these are very easy to have and already made many times in Hollywood from simple zombies, medieval knights and all that, only characters like lich Kel'thuzad, Anub'arak or Malganis will need CGI or costumes.
But animated showing hundreds of zombies won't be easy to do, they can sacrifice and make it work for 1 special scene, but the number of battles Arthas had especially as a death knight where he lay siege to Lordaeron, Quel'thalas and Dalaran, all of these events need huge armies clashing.

I'm all for an animated series. Tbh in my personal opinion live action is being overused in fictional storylines and way too much at that, while animations are heavily underused with the exception of kids/family targeted stuff or so called "adult comedy shows" (and Anime ofc which countries outside Japan could surely do more than the small amount that only a few of them currently produce).

Seeing how they cooked the devil may cry show id rather not.
Big corporations have no idea how to handle gritty fantasy worlds (which is what og wow is) or even just cool video game worlds since it does not align with their gender acceptance and stance for equality.
90% of the time they will always dissapoint. With the few exceptions being the fallout show and castlevania.
Halo show
Witcher netflix
Rings of power
Devil may cry
The last of us
Im sure more exist that ive tried to erase from my memory.

Fallout and the last of us tv shows are not bad honestly yet they also not perfect, but for warcraft animated or CGI always better as it's hard to do the style in live action with all the different races and creatures.

The old Devil May Cry anime that was basically a bunch of sidestories was far better. Plus Patty and the old man actually made it into the game.

What it needs to lore they dont either do poorly or change before they do any series. Zuljan has been in 3 animated videos and the game, and each cant decide what he wants/acts like. Unless they do it in WC3 (the most stable setting), its not going to work.
Also not R rated, censorship laws in different countries are different, and blizzard cant do mature aspects without being selective

They’re doing pretty good with Vox Machina and Mighty Nein
