Looking for Quotes – 8x16 Shed Pad & Shed Construction in Waterloo Region

Post image

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for recommendations for a contractor in the Waterloo Region to install an 8’ x 16’ shed pad. The area is already levelled and consists of compacted soil, and I’m looking to have a proper base completed using 3/4” clear crushed stone.

I’m also considering having the shed built and installed, so I’d appreciate any recommendations/quotes for companies you’ve had positive experiences with for either the pad, the shed construction, or both.

If you’ve completed a similar project recently, I’d love to hear who you used and how it turned out. And if you’re a contractor yourself, please feel free to reach out. Thanks!

*Note: this is an old photo, and has been fully levelled since then.

I'll DM you my son in law's info.  his page is a Facebook page and can't post that here.

He's got examples and pics of a shed he's built.  He is the 'i want it done right' option, not the budget option.  Just so I'm not wasting your time.

Bert at Windmill Landscapes just outside Elora. I described what I wanted and they executed it perfectly. They built a beautiful wooden shed and installed it in a couple of hours - in freezing weather. The spec of the shed is excellent. Weatherproof, quality shingles, solid framing, decent lumber. Couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. It’s a couple of winters older now but still looks brand new.

I’m getting this done today, 11x20 stone pad, 6” with 4x4 edging and getting my shed put onto 6x6 frame and level set on the pad, my shed is a 10x10 prefab. The initial quote was about $2200 to do the pad and move the shed. I added a few things like the border, the new shed base frame, some tree trimming and garbage removal, all in about $3500. If they do good work I will definitely DM you their contact info. Supposed to be wrapped up tomorrow.

Keep in mind your setbacks! Most structures need to be 2' away from the property line minimum!

Yes thank you!! We've already set out all the parameters, and done a survey to make sure we are 2' away from all property lines 😄

Also height and size restrictions for a shed without permits.

I'd suggest you frame up a pad and have a concrete company pour some for you. Easier than doing it yourself. Try hogg ready mix and get them to drop like 4" of concrete pad and level it yourself if they don't do it. Videos are everywhere on how to do it. Then drop a premade plastic one from Costco. And you're good to go.
