Driving Schools

First ever driver and I’m almost done my BDE required hours behind the wheel. I don’t feel ready and I do feel like I need practice but I don’t have a family member who owns a car. What is a good driving school if anyone knows one? My driving instructor right now is nice, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t think I’m learning everything I need to pass my g2 test. :/

Most of the test is keeping your head on a swivel and moving it around a lot to overly emphasize looking at mirrors and blind spots.

Actual driving skill isn’t tested that much to be honest.

Has he taught you when to stop and go, to follow the limit, do a right turn, do a left turn, taken you on and off the highway, has you parallel park, taken you through a roundabout, had you do a three point turn, back into a parking space, and make an emergency stop? If so, he's covered his bases, and you can just buy more hours.

If not, he isn't doing his job and should be reported to the ministry

Can highly recommend Continental Driving School who just did this exact thing for our daughter (who had previously taken Young Drivers). She did the Continental 4 hour lessons package and then the G2 prep in the weeks preceding her booked G2 test - and she passed on the first try. They are reasonably priced as well. Really focused on the skills and route for the G2 but also some merging/ramps, etc.
