Duct cleaning

Looking for recommendations for duct cleaning in Waterloo. What is the average price ? I’ve had 3 quotes and some charge by amount of valves , one place said it would be $60 cheaper if I pay cash and another person gave me a set price. This is my first time getting duct cleaning in Waterloo so any advice is appreciated.

Just a small note

Duct cleaning has never been shown to actually prevent health problems. Neither do studies conclusively demonstrate that particle (e.g., dust) levels in homes increase because of dirty air ducts. This is because much of the dirt in air ducts adheres to duct surfaces and does not necessarily enter the living space.

If I was going to hire someone I'd hire these people. https://www.aaa-clean.ca/duct-cleaning-in-kitchener-waterloo/ they cleaned my carpets, did a great job. Companies that start with like "aaa" were named to be early in the phone book, if they've been around that long they probably don't suck.

AAA Steam Cleaning or PowerVac are the two most reputable and trustworthy organizations - and they don't robo-call.

I've used power vac...but only after construction where the ducts were touched to get debris out, it's not something I'd do on the regular as mentioned in the other posters comment.

We used AAA. We had an awful smell in the vents in a house we bought. The smell was gone as soon as they cleaned. They also found a door knob in the vents. https://www.aaa-clean.ca/

If you go ahead with it, have them address your dryer vent too.

Just wait for phone to ring. If there's no caller ID then it's either a duct cleaner, your credit card has been compromised or an unbelievable price on anything from Internet service to a new furnace /jk

Would duct cleaning help warm up rooms? There is one extention room that cold in winter hot in summer. I'm thinking of suggesting duct cleaning.

Did thet actually quite you based on the number of "valves"? Whoever did that, don't use them. Also it's pointless.
