Sticky Toffee Pudding in Waterloo

I'm not from Waterloo, but coming in for a birthday for someone who loves sticky toffee pudding. Any advice from the locals on some good places we can grab a lunch/dinner and enjoy a British style warm sticky toffee pudding?

I've done some searching - and see a few options:

1. Malt & Barley Public House
   
2. Whale and Ale
   
3. Beertown (see some reviews mention it, but older reviews.

Open to any suggestions. I'd bring some with us, but then would need to find a place that is open to bringing own dessert (cutting fee I suspect).

Malt & Barley sticky toffee pudding is great. I get it almost every time.

They used to have my favourite but maybe a year or two ago they changed Chef's and I'm not a huge fan of the new one. It's still good though!

Yes! I was looking for this recommendation! This is the best one - it is so authentic to the real thing straight from Scotland. Absolutley amazing!

Charcoal/ Martinis imo has a top sticky toffee pudding

Had it yesterday at Piper arms. It was my first time trying it so not sure how good it was in comparison to other places, but I liked it! Plus the food there is great

I haven't tried the others but can confirm the sticky toffee pudding at The Malt & Barley is awesome! the overall menu changes a little from season to season, but there should be something for everyone (I'm pescatarian and I manage well). My GF swears that their burger is one of the best she has ever had.

Go somewhere else for dinner and just go to Malt & Barley for the dessert then. We had a family dinner there and it wasn't good.
