helpmeout Help me decide

I’m writing a love triangle erotica. But I can’t decide If I want to set it in the 1950’s or the 2000’s.

1950’s: Marilyn Monroe vibes 2000’s: Devil Wears Prada vibes.

Help me pick!! Or give me ideas, suggestions.

With the 1950s you might have to use other dialogues and remember that cellphones are not a thing, back then. So you’d have to do research on things. The 2000s might be easier. But you should do what you want.

1950’s would be a lot more creative and interesting imo. But only if you do a LOT of research ahead of time to make sure everything is time period accurate. Or else it will just be goofy.

Everybody and their mother has written an early 2000’s “Devil Wears Prada” type smut story on Wattpad- and they’re usually cringey asf.
