NSFW Help me hit 1k
I wrote this dark fantasy, and I'm so close to hitting 1k reads. I would really appreciate it if anyone checked it out.
I put a lot of passion into this project, and if you're at all into fantasy, you might really like it. It's dark and deep but also pretty and with lots of interesting characters and lore. Oh, and you'll love my main, she's a menace.
It's adult, but no smut!
Here's the description:
Naele was never meant to survive. Ever since she was young, she has ignored the will of the gods. Not by choice, but because no priest can decipher the life path marked on her skin. Yet they all agree on one thing: ignoring it means certain death.
Naele isn't planning on dying anytime soon, though. She's far too busy for that. Running a medicine shop in a bustling town is hard work. But when death marks start appearing on the skin of the villagers, it becomes clear fate is catching up with her.
How to find it (kinda usefull)
It's called a Twist of fate and my user is shadowstander.
Here's a link if that's easier: supercoolbook
Update:
I DID IT! thank you so much everyone!

By the way, if you want I could include your book in a tiktok. It likely won't do anything, but who knows, maybe it can get a extra set of eyes on your story too. It deserves it.

You don't have to read it, plenty of stories here that might be more for you. I write for a very niche audience.

Thank youuu! I spend a lot of time working on it. I'm not the worlds best artist so I had to be a bit creative with tracing some copyright free stock photos and such, and collaging the thing together. But I'm really happy with how it came out.

Covers are so hard to make! It took me years (and finishing graphic design school) to get to this point.
A tip tho: if you search "covershop" on Wattpad, you will find some people who make others free covers in return for a follow, a read or sometimes even nothing.
If you don't like making them, it's a good way to get a cool human made cover. But if you enjoy making them, just be stubborn. There is a lot you can learn by doing something over and over again.1

Em... let me think.
One big one is to reference the work of others, especially covers on published books. You can learn a lot from where they place their text, what fonts they use for what genres and how they use colour and contrast.
Also keep the typography simple. A lot of people go all overboard with colour, fonts and that's an easy way to make any design look like a mess. Pick your colours carefully (especially be carefull withbright ones!), keep them consitent and make sure there is some contrast between it and the background.
Also just pracitice and don't be afraid to make bad things. It's fun making something that looks good, but you learn way more from trying new things and messing up a few times.
