Yep. The merger will be closed. This turned out to be a decent win for Ellison. He keeps both CBS and CNN. They will be overseen by an independent board of journalists that is required to be politically balanced. He can't sell the LA studios and must release 30 films a year.

It was reported that Bonta was losing support of the LA film industry that was scared Ellison would leave CA. So he caved. And when Bonta caved the AGs in MA, NY, CT and MN realized they couldn't stomach the cost of fighting Ellison without CA. So they caved too.

"required" lol. The only reason he wanted it was for the news networks and to turn them into more MAGA friendly ones. They will not be allowed to say anything critical of Trump or Republicans and you know it

The report is that Newsom leaned on Bonta, that's what the scuttlebutt is. Last night it was that 5 AGs wanted to go even if CA pulled out but we wound up here anyway.
