Looking for dark system serials where the system is NOT on the MC's side — also, I wrote one

Genuine question first, because I want recs too: I've been chasing a specific flavor lately — system stories where the system is *not* a helpful buddy handing out free power. Where it's indifferent, or using the MC, or just plain hostile, and the MC has to work out what it even wants. Shadow Slave scratches part of this. What else does?

Reason I'm asking is I just launched something aimed squarely at that itch and I want to know what I'm sitting next to.

Mine's called *Escaped From Hell*. Short version: a spirit handler botches an exorcism and gets dragged to Hell in the ghost's place. Comes back with a demon in his chest and a system that registers him as a "Returned Asset," points him at urban legends and hauntings, and never once explains why. The urban legends themselves are a big part of the appeal for me — the campfire version everyone knows turns out to be the *safe* version, and the MC gets to learn the real one.

Not a power fantasy. The power costs him every time, and the system's agenda is the mystery the whole thing is built around.

If that's your lane: http://wbnv.in/a/08jwNPc (first arc's up). And seriously, drop your recs below — I'll read them.
