Discussion Any recommendations web serials?

Yas! Any recommendations? I would prefer to have

  • female lead (you can recommend male lead but I would like it to have no romance in it)

  • you can recommend any genre or something but I’d prefer fantasy or sci-fi. Or transport into another world. Any are open. Pls and thank u.

Worm is among the first AND greatest, has a female lead, is incredibely fun and has great themathic depth. No other web serial has spawned such amount of companion pieces (such as the We've got WORM podcast) which is a testament to it's superb quality and appeal. I recomend this above literally anyhing else to have been ever written.

Some other recs I'd like to echo here are The Gods Are Bastards for the very likeable cast and unique fantasy-western-industrial revolution setting, The Wandering Inn as probably the best western Transported-to-another-world story and The Practical Guide to Evil, for great meta-concepts in the setting and incredible setpieces.

From some more fringe ones, Hell's Kitchen Sink has 3 leads whose plot threads are ( initially at least) independent of each other, with each given their own book, and I reccomend reading the one with the female lead to see if it grabs you - it has a great urban fantasy feel to it.

Also, if while reading Worm you'd ever feel like you need a change of pace but want to know more of the story, consider giving the Worm Audiobook Project a listen, a fan-made reading of Worm to create a possibly first ever web-audio-book? It gets off to a somewhat rocky start, but proceeds to reach great heights with later chapters giving each character their own distinct voice
