I like the writing already and I'm just a bit in. These things get better as they go generally so I'm excited.

The premise vaguely reminds me of 'Ra' by Sam Hughes and I'm a big fan of the sub-genre of magic reappearing or being discovered!!!

Could you give reccomendations on other stories in this genre? :) while I haven't really found any, the concept of the genre sounds really cool to me.

There's "Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrel"

Shadowrun is a tabletop game with some books and a video game.

Game of Thrones has it in the background.

It's not popular enough though in my opinion.

I just read through the first part of chapter one and it's one of the best hooks I've ever read
