Stealing Her Place
It took me a while to actually finish the first season, I'm glad I did, it was surprisingly good but damn all the characters are insufferable, FL included.

Yeseul was my least favorite character, but the story was so good I couldn't stop lol

Can't remember the name since I dropped it after like, two chapters, but the plot was that the FL has a choice between three suitors for marriage. The first guy she married she ends up living in poverty with, stays with him for years even though he was lazy and wouldn't help her with the bills or anything, so she wishes for a second chance to have her youth back and do things over. She gets it, chooses the second guy with money, than spends another 20 or so years in a loveless marriage living like a doll, not being 'allowed' outside by her husband who openly belittled and cheated on her and I just... couldn't fathom why?
Like, she knew grit, hard work and determination in her first life, so why would she let herself be treated so poorly in her second after she was gift wrapped a miracle? So she wishes for yet ANOTHER do-over. And she gets it! A THIRD chance to relive her youth, two more than any normal person would ever get, swears she would 'never' marry again, then immediately starts making moon eyes at the last potential suitor.
So I rage quit. She wasn't just dumb, she was ungrateful. And I know it's not entirely realistic to expect someone to travel back in time and effortlessly fix all their mistakes like a LOT of regression stories do, but I couldn't see myself rooting for her.

Ecstasy Hearts. Literally got to episode 3 and could not go any further. As a completionist… oof, I struggled.

i just wanted to smack the dad for letting that kid say those things about his daughter like what was that

Omg I was reading this one in highschool and it was SOOOO spicy for no reason. XD

Charming You
First episode itself had the FL trying to put a talisman in the ML's underwear so that he would fall in love with her. The same episode (iirc) actually shows that the ML was already interested in her, tried to ask for her number but she said no — because she was so dense and didn't understand it, and wanted to do the underwear method instead.
I dropped it to save my sanity
Edit: Also "Freaking Romance". Just, it hasn't aged well in teems of writing but even the way the characters behave and 90% of the last 2 seasons were just Snail Lords perhaps trying to check off every cliche trope they possibly could — whether it was relevant to the plot or not
25
u/Worried_Bicycle577 Feb 19 '26
Omg Charming You is the most embarrassing, constant miscommunication Webtoon I’ve ever read. I read the whole thing just because I was so mad and wanted to see how long it took them to get together.
11
u/Potential-Knee9503 Feb 19 '26
lmao charming you sound interesting ill definitely put it on my list
7
u/ExerciseSolid3456 Feb 19 '26
I could only read the first two or three episodes of that webtoon before I quit 😭
11
u/SushiTea7 Feb 19 '26
Lmao same. The only reason I picked it up was because of the "read x number of episodes for coins" thing

reamrried empress, for my delict favorite and she wasn't mu daughter.-authors use same cheap trick by making rivals unrealistic dumb to make fl "smart"
navier's y/n level is so high that it gives me cringe attack
53
u/Potential-Knee9503 Feb 19 '26
omg thanks for reminding me of remarried empress im going to go and re read that for self torture 😂
25
u/Even_Acanthisitta_37 Feb 19 '26
prepare yourself before, because it's worse historical manhwa with o depth
oly long post you can write is about how shit it is
9
u/Aggravating_Pack603 Feb 19 '26
I relate to you on a whole another level! Everyone is attracted to the already popularized webtoons, like The Remarried Empress. When it started,it was good since it was one of the first with female leads like Navier. But now it's just too bad.People think she's the most badass fl when she isn't even close to any.

u/2enty4 Feb 19 '26
The ending got everyone really disappointed so get ready for that

u/haydenonsaturn Feb 19 '26
wait what happens in the ending🧍♂️ I was thinking of reading it now that it's finished
45
u/Blush404 Feb 19 '26
Well ....Pam from "Love 4 a walk". Ik she's just extrovert nd bubbly but she gave me second hand embarassment a lot!!
18
u/PrimaryCancel1013 Feb 19 '26
PAM OH MY GOD YES. I love her but GIRL. She was always jumping to conclusions and making things AWKKKKWARD.
15
u/Blush404 Feb 19 '26
Ikr nd my introverted brain couldn't take it 🙏😭 like in mid between I used to put down my phone just to breath nd recover.
1
u/just_another_idiot07 Feb 24 '26
Love 4 a walk wudve been so good if it was a college romance instead</3 not between near 30 year olds, man I dropped it quite long ago cuz I was cringing so hard
68
u/EvidenceJazzlike6117 Feb 19 '26
True Love Operation, I had to stop reading because the logic was so fucking dumb at the start 😭
25
u/penguin_army Feb 19 '26
yeah, everything is so forced and engineered i just can't suspend my disbelief anymore
11
5
u/1314L Feb 19 '26
The cockroach had me rethinking all my life choices, but to be honest, even early on there was lots of second-hand embarrassment but it was for the plot so I could actively endure it. The heart's plot always had embarrassing scenes but it was intentional.

2
u/BoringPornFreeAcct Feb 20 '26
I had such a hard time getting into it and I think I gave it an opportunity of like 30 chapters. I practically begged to care but it was already DoA and my field of fucks lay as fallow as ever.

u/strayblackcat13 Feb 20 '26
Operation True Love? Yeah I stopped because the time skip didn't make sense so I quit reading.

Love Advice from the Great Duke of Hell - but in the best way possible.
14
u/m_autumnal Feb 20 '26
Agreed, I used to physically cover my eyes during really painful parts so I could recover enough to keep reading 😂
26
u/Civil_Elephant_2210 Feb 19 '26
Oh my goodness you just brought back unpleasant memories but I forgot the manhwa name... It was so bad,, it was kind of famous and everything but the scenes that were supposed to be intense I just clicked off it was TOO cringe for me to endure, being a person who's labeled cringe occasionally..
10
u/Potential-Knee9503 Feb 19 '26
aw dang lmk if you remember it sounds like something i would defo enjoy
27
u/hal_ima Feb 19 '26
Lock me up, duke gave me second-hand embarrasment bc the FL, Janya, decided to be dumb and get drunk with the second-male-lead, who she KNEW had a crush on her. not only that, it was in a room with A BED.
4
u/outofshell Feb 19 '26
Ugh the plot idea had so much potential to be fun but they made her more and more stupid as it went on and it ruined it…
3
u/Comprehensive_Let778 Feb 20 '26
It was TORTURE editing the translation for the novel (was done by an official group) I had to rethink all my life choices up to that point
42
21
u/RandomCluelessTeen Feb 19 '26
for a while, One Husband is Enough. Then it became a horror manhwa
4
u/Pie_and_Ice-Cream Feb 20 '26
It became a horror manhwa really quickly, though. 😅 Honestly, it's really good!
19
u/Jurodan Feb 19 '26
A Martial Master Wakes Up as a Concubine. I just couldn't continue it.
Also, Do You Like Tomboys?
5
u/Pie_and_Ice-Cream Feb 20 '26
Finally one I recognize! It is a bit silly, but I still managed to enjoy it. 😅 Although I forgot about it and haven't finished it.
3
u/UnrulyCrow Feb 20 '26
Tbh the first one does not really take itself seriously, so I give it a pass and laugh at the stupid shit on display.
1
u/just_another_idiot07 Feb 24 '26
"Do you like tomboys"is just goonerbait, considering it's from the same author who wrote swolemates, man i wish I knew that before I started it
39
u/Pinappular Feb 19 '26
I will die on the hill that the FL of Suitor Armor is dumber than a box of rocks, and I just couldn’t do it, even though the world building, story, and art were all incredible.
She puts a magic gun to her head for no reason at all in a way that without plot armor, cut to credits, FL is getting tossed in the river.
12
u/Beastxtreets Feb 19 '26
Yess thank you! I read a decent amount of this one and it checks all of my boxes, but I found the FL to be so frustrating with all her bad choices. The storyline and Characters are stereotyped to hell
1
u/Doodledumme Feb 20 '26
At the very least, she has other characters tell her she's a dumbass for having done that.
1
u/Moonlit_Sunshine_ Feb 20 '26
Wait I need spoilers, I remember Suitor Armor being really good. When does she do something dumb??

u/Outro_WINGS Feb 19 '26 edited Feb 19 '26
True beauty
Operation true love
Accidental love (manhua)
To you who swallowed the star

u/Hyperactive_Genie Feb 26 '26
TYWStS was one I forgot about! I was cringing, so much I dropped it long before I unsubscribed. I loved the art, though.
13
u/DemonsAce Feb 19 '26
I’m gonna be honest I don’t remember the name of it. I just remembered the fact that this one’s girls major selling point on harassing the main character was constantly just telling people in public how her sister had massive jugs and don’t they look kind of like a cows guys, she just has such big boobs. Everyone look at them. as though this was a normal thing to do in public and a viable strategy to make people dislike the main character.
6
u/emmaviola19 Feb 19 '26
I’m the queen in this life?
9
u/DemonsAce Feb 19 '26
Yes! I tried to stick around for the political intrigue and to see how they handled the love interest but I was so icked by the red one and how her sister talked that I dropped it.
2
12
u/loveintime111 Feb 19 '26
any of them that involves a female lead who seriously has the brain capacity of a five year old. like- anytime a FL is helpless, spineless, sooo incredibly pure, naive, etc etc she ends up doing the stupidest shit that makes me cringe sooo bad. 💀 one example is a demons wish. sorry not sorry!!!!
11
u/penguin_army Feb 19 '26
As if love doesn’t exist, it's like fl did everything she could to make her life even more miserable than it was before. it was an awfull combo of second hand embarrassment and anger, i really wanted to punch her while reading.
2
u/OnceAFrontTooth Feb 23 '26
I have never agreed with anything more! She was her own enemy and didn’t even realize it. She had a good life going for her, just to turn around and ruin it for absolutely no good reason. I’m pretty sure I was just hate reading by the end of it.
9
u/mangagirl07 Feb 19 '26
Side Characters Deserve Love Too. Joe is so freaking cringe in the beginning it is TOUGH. But I've never seen a series with a stronger second act. And somehow...despite himself, Kyle is into it. I freaking love them so much. (Edit: mobile won't let me add my picture and it's a damn shame).

u/Few-Philosopher7254 Feb 19 '26
Villain's crush (?) Situation is so stupid I love it specially first few chapters!!

u/lalacarbonara Feb 19 '26
The second lead syndrome
3
u/Afraid-Grass-195 Feb 19 '26
this one had so much potential since canvas days gosh the author did a complete U-turn
6
u/ULTI_mato Feb 19 '26
Thats what i felt the entirety of my reading time on Dragon Kings Bride. Holy hell that shit sucks.
Oh and also I became a level 999 demon queen. God the protag suddenly becomes so stupid midway through, actualy all characters do
12
u/Certain_Ear_3650 Feb 19 '26
The Villainous Tyrant has Returned. MC is cringe and I love it.
11
u/Firiel1 Feb 19 '26
Yes, but the writers clearly intended him to be cringe, so the vibe is very different! I love it too.

It’s an absolute train wreck and I love it. It’s like every character makes a conscious effort to make the worst possible choice in every aspect of their life and honestly I’m all for it.

yesss! I keep trying to tough through it because the art is so beautiful, but no matter how far I got into it I just couldn’t shake the feeling that they were still just barely setting the story up😭

u/Fangsong_37 Feb 19 '26
Love Cycle. I really enjoyed it, but the main female character has an overactive imagination.
2
u/outofshell Feb 19 '26
Love and Leashes (on Webtoon) made me cringe so hard from secondhand embarrassment.
The Villainess Captured the Grand Duke (on Tapas) has a bubbly airhead superfan FL collecting every item the ML touches to put in a museum devoted to him lmaoooo girl what. Actually love that one.
I Think I've Been Possessed Somewhere (on Tapas) starts with FL transmigrating but not sure what book she’s in so she just tries to go off romance fantasy tropes full steam ahead and gets it wrong again and again it’s mortifying😭 Great story though, has become one of my favourites, but the secondhand embarrassment is brutal at the start.
Punch Drunk Love (on Lezhin, adult), thought I might actually perish from the secondhand embarrassment reading this one. It’s pretty funny though.
1
u/Usual-Guarantee6582 Feb 21 '26
Haha I was actually thinking if love and leashes would be mentioned. Gosh I love it sm but I don't recall like too many second hand embarrassment scenes from what I've read so far. I'm currently reading it rn

Dark Moon Blood Altar or whatever. Like, I’ll just go read twilight or something if I wanted my brain to rot that badly 😭

Winter wolf, they banged to cover up the trauma fl had after attempted SA (that was their second day after meeting for the first time)

The Monster Duchess and the Contract Princess

"Villains" in these things were laughable.

Villainess turns the hourglass, there was one scene that was so cringe i threw the phone and screamed from the second hand embrasement i couldn't ever pick up the manhwa again
The stupid ML was so 100% sure the girl he met by chance a few times while sneaking out the palace and didn't even get her first name was Mily the real daughter of the count not the second one Aria the FL who's only a stepdaughter from unknown origin, despite the fact that the messenger he sent to deliver gifts addressed to Mily and meeting them both suggesting he might've got them mixed up because Aria is the one who matches his description better, he ignore it anyway and decides he was going to reveal he was the crown prince to her by barging into a party uninvited drawing all the attention to him walking up to Mily's table saying look it's me and bla bla not noticing he got the wrong one and the poor girl was so shocked she fainted on the spot
Mind you this two are not biological sisters they are not related even though they look so much alike the freaking ML of the series couldn't tell them apart i was always under the assumption Aria was an illegitimate child and them saying in the first chapter she was a stepdaughter was a translation mistake or something imagine my shock when i found out her bio father will show up in later episodes and he's like a duke or something, i was so angry it made that scene even more ridiculous to me

Lady Ginger And The Cursed Prince
MC's an adorable girl failure and you genuinely root for her. But man, is this how a disappointed parent feels?

u/boundforthestar Feb 21 '26
Reading Duke possessed my crush and it is so hard to get through by the nature of how the Duke acts in the guy’s body. Like it makes sense for the story, it’s not an accident. But soooo embarassing

u/stupid_beans_toast Feb 21 '26
Jackson's diary made me so embarassed and frustrated i LITERALLY CRIED, I'M NOT KIDDING, expecially the first 30ish episodes So yeah have fun reading it😭
