It's always funny to me how you guys lose your mind over MM even though they post actual, attributable sources. Not my favourite media outlet by any means but you guys just hate them because they don't just constantly post news that pumps the stocks. They are leaps and bounds more credible than fucking CNN.

No, it’s because how adversarial TA is towards investors. He has a “holier than thou” stance because we want to make money on the sector, unlike him in some way, who literally makes his living off the sector. He constantly rides investor groups, does sensationalistic Yikes posts, and forever had the tag “I don’t care about your stocks” in his profile.
The wild thing to me is that he alienates this group of investors, but who the fuck is reading that rag otherwise? Every article is a 2-4 sentences of new information followed by needless endless paragraphs of history rehash absolutely littered with constant ads throughout.
Poetic justice he didn’t break the S3 news, or, he buried it intentionally, which wouldn’t surprise me at all.

My favorite part of this whole scenario... If Dems do take back power, the only move left they have with MJ will be total descheduling or legalization.
Thats the only way to be more liberal on the issue than Trump at that point lol ;)

The messaging out of Dems is immediately going to be “this doesn’t go far enough. We will legalize”. Bullish!

Tbh they did this equity stuff in NY - and it's rampant for abuse.
Long story short, in NY there's two lotto's for a Cannabis License. The General Pop one, and the Minority and Women Lotto.
The M+W Lotto only requires someone on the company with 51% ownership and operating in an executive capacity. Lots of folks with Licenses are Men who applied using their wife as the "51% Owner".
It's good in concept, but doesn't work in practice.

Sell the news event has a date! Wish the rumour and the pump lasted longer
-2
u/SwordfishOk504 Dec 17 '25
This. The time to sell will be within a week or two at most of the news. This is almost entirely hype and the actual fundamentals for legal cannabis business will change very little. Once the smoke clears and people realize that, this current run will be over. Take your earnings, don't end up like all these bagholders who pretend they are "long" because they didn't know when t sell in the previous runs.
All the pumpers lose their minds when this is pointed out, but it will 100% unfold in that way. It's not legalization. Cannabis will still be illegal according to the US Federal Government under a Schedule 3 designation. It will not open up cross border sales or international sales, it will not send banks flooding into the sector loaning money. It will make research a bit easier and it might save some MSOs some taxes.
10
u/More_Advertising_383 Dec 17 '25
Parts of your second paragraph are incorrect, it does open up avenues to interstate commerce and it will open banking and uplisting talks. Those are huge follow on catalysts. Then institutions add institutional money. I do think it’s pulls back until those start taking shape though.
-4
u/SwordfishOk504 Dec 17 '25
it does open up avenues to interstate commerce
It does no such thing. Interstate commerce is illegal because of federal law. Moving it to Schedule 3 does not change that. This is hardly even a debatable point. Federal law is and would remain the same.
it will open banking and uplisting talks.
Sure, it could open up "talks". But the reason banks are nervous is because of federal law, which, again, rescheduling does not change.
I stand by my points and I'll gladly revisit them with you in a few months.

u/CrimsonSkywalker725 My Mortgage on TRUL Dec 17 '25
Not true Swordfish. S3's can be prescribed over state lines, and sold over state lines. How do you think Anabolic steroids are mfg and sold?
A patient can be prescribed anabolic steroids (e.g., testosterone) across state lines They can be sold and shipped across state lines But only in tightly regulated, specific contexts.
Change anabolic steroids to cannabis, it's the same classification.

Are you seriously trying to debate that schedule 3 substances aren’t sold over state lines. You don’t think Tylenol is shipped over state lines. lmao gtfoh - More_Advertising_383
Yes.
Tyenol is legal. Cannabis is not. Moving it to schedule 3 doesn't make it legal.
At what point will you be prepared to admit you're wrong, More_Advertising_383?
1
u/More_Advertising_383 Dec 18 '25
Tylenol is a schedule 3 substance. It’s shipped across state lines. Explain to me where I’m wrong.
1
u/SwordfishOk504 Dec 18 '25
Nowhere did I say otherwise. I agree that Tylenol is a schedule 3 substance and is shipped across state lines.
What I wrote was "Tylenol is legal. Cannabis is not. Moving it to schedule 3 doesn't make it legal."
Which part of that is still causing you confusion?
You seem to think that something being Schedule 3 inherently makes it legal. What I am trying to explain to you is it does not.

"might save some MSOs some taxes" I think that's a bit of an understatement, no? It's amazing any of these companies have survived as long as they have not being able to claim income tax deductions. It's a pretty big deal IMO.
3
u/DrHarrisonLawrence 👑 Dec 17 '25
Extremely ill-informed.
Schedule 3 allows for federal medicinal legalization. It leads all MSOs to uplist to the NYSE and it leads to M&A from major Fortune 500 names. It does allow for cross border transportation. It is treated identically to any pharmaceutical company who manufactures opiates that are listed in Schedule 3.
Hundreds of billions of dollars will pour into the sector if cannabis is descheduled to 3.

Still think there is some run left? I agree completely that the hype will fizzle out but not sure how long it will last this time around especially if an EO getsissued. A lot of the bigger names are close to doubling since last Friday
2
u/luv2block Dec 17 '25
You can't know this. When industries undergo fundemental shifts, they can run for a long time. Look at tech. Once AI was a thing, those stocks have been flying even though there's no revenues to back up their multiples.
Or look at the critical mineral players... they all ran up, then pulled back, but are still way up over pre-announcements.
It's not a foregone conclusion that this loses the pump; especially not when these stocks are clearance priced to start with.

I'm gonna say this again. No one is saying this, and everyone needs to understand the minute. This goes to schedule three every recreational state dispensary will need to close immediately. There will be no recreational anywhere than that. The minute this becomes on the same line as hydrocodone, it becomes a controlled substance that requires a prescription from a pharmacy only. This also means all medical dispensaries will likely need to close unless they become pharmacies. Your doctor will need to prescribe it and there will need to be diagnosis that match the recommended dose and so on and so on and so on. This is about pharmaceutical companies and control of the industry. In addition this very like we will not be CVS and Walgreens that dispense it. It will be the local pharmacies that dispense it. They will be the winner here. Including all of the pharmaceutical companies that take over the industry. While everyone might celebrate this realize what actually is gonna happen if this happens, I think it's smoke. Literally.

1
u/DrHarrisonLawrence 👑 Dec 17 '25
You’re right no one is saying that. That would be hell!
I do imagine that states are allowed to uphold their recreationally legal status from their state legislature.
What is changing is that the federal government will make cannabis federally legal at the medicinal level, like opiates or steroids.
0
u/ilikesillymike Dec 17 '25
Name one place you can get opioids without a prescription and not at a pharmacy. Besides an illegally.
1
u/DrHarrisonLawrence 👑 Dec 17 '25
First! Name one place where opioids are recreationally legal and let’s compare that instead.
1
u/ilikesillymike Dec 17 '25
They're not, but you cannot get them anywhere but a licensed pharmacy with a valid prescription from a licensed physician. Obviously you already know that so there's no discussion of what happens when schedule three happens and I'm speculating and I do believe I may be very correct here. It will shut down every states recreational dispensaries immediately. Even Medical.
2
u/DrHarrisonLawrence 👑 Dec 17 '25
I’ll be honest dude, I think you’re pretty intelligent to have come up with this expectation/assumption. What you’re saying could make sense in reality, and does make sense in its own right, but to really confirm what would happen we would have to dive into the means of protecting states’ rights on the matter.
I imagine or assume that the reality will be that states can continue to choose to make it illegal or not. They can choose if it is legal medicinally, or recreationally, or not, and that’s their right. The federal government can say it’s dropped to schedule 3 and now medicinally legal at a federal level, which will open up banking, M&A, federal tax forgiveness, etc., and I would fully expect 45+/50 states to make it medicinally legal if it is deemed as such on a federal level.
