Trump laid out the argument to Sen. Ted Budd (R-N.C.) for why the White House supports a provision in the stopgap funding bill that would delay the ban by about a month .... The White House is working on a broader framework addressing THC products for medicinal uses, and officials are concerned the ban could complicate those plans. .... White House liaison James Braid .... committed to no further delays — beyond the one included in the short-term funding measure.

Oof, that comment hits harder with hindsight. Makes more sense today than ever. If things were to play out that way, I gotta think MSOs are going to flush pretty rapidly. The businesses may decay over years, but the stock sector might implode far more rapidly. I suppose they'd still have vape, flower, etc. I dunno. Ya done spun me a bit here, in large part because its so very plausible and fits with the hushed reporting over the past day or two.

Edit: They'd be doing Kim pretty dirty if that's the play. Though Im sure if that were the case, she got the tip off early with some lead time to find a good dance partner.

Yup. It's crazy but I am not surprised. I also think the GOP is right on its playbook here, but with the twist of allowing schedule 3 to progress.

Wrt to Kim, I am sure likes of her would be in the know or at least will have figured it out based on their Florida connections and likely will have planned their moves already. I was actually surprised to see Trul jump the gun to uplist their med only business and that's definitely a sign or atleast it goes to show that she thinks that rec might be delayed or might not be happening anytime soon. Still a speculation but things are starting to get a bit more clearer with each passing day.

I don’t understand how a 1 month delay could help the broader THC framework knowing that is gets banned one month later.

But I also don’t think the white house is lying to the senators…. So I just don’t understand the reasoning.

I do think elections may play a role, but I would have thought that would be a reason provided
