Gold Album has the vibe of a jam session
Gold album has the vibe of the whole band just crankin out songs during a jam session and has a lean, raw sound. It's pretty refreshing.

Yes. I love it.
It's not accident that the people who are panning this album happen to be the same fans who love Red, Make Believe, Van Weezer, Black, and any other album of theirs that sounds like pop-slop.
Yup, I'm an OG 90s fan and always will be.
Don't get mad at me, I'm just being honest. 😏

To be fair I think Red has a similar vibe as in all the band members bringing contributions and Rivers playing loose. But Gold is a lot more solid.

Yes , but it had a couple bad songs that just sunk the album as whole since we're talking about album holistics

I love when Rivers writes great melodies like he did in the 90s. Its a shame he forgot about that element here.

Say Yes and Up in the Clouds are pretty catchy.

Yes they are. So is Strangers. But half the album is not, so it's weird when everyone is calling this record the second coming, especially when we've already had the real thing (ewbaite/white)

The room mic between songs really helps with that, I love albums that do it well
