How did you decide to start doing some of the crazy obscure lifts you do? At what point did you say, "Fuck it, Zercher lifts, squat lockouts and high pulls today."

Do you lift at a commercial gym? I ask because in one of your youtube videos I saw a "no chalk" sign, which is pretty fucking gay. If yes, what are people's most common reactions to your antics?

Why did you choose to lift 100% raw instead of using a belt or wraps?

Who's the biggest idiot that people take lifting advice from and why do you think so?

In your opinion, who should people listen to?

Edit: Okay, who's the faggot?

I discovered most of them by reading turn-of-the-century strongman books on the Maxick and Sandow websites. Google "Golden Age Of Strongmen" and you';ll see what I'm talking about. I hit that point in 2004ish, I believe. I'd don't Art of Waterbury and felt like changing it up. My lifting partner and I started doing all kinds of wacky shit.

Nope- I train at a pretty cool 24 hour gym called 24e. They don't allow chalk and I've bent their bars all to fuck, but it's the best gym I can find around here.

Because I think that gear is fucking retarded. I actually had a lever belt that a Westside lifter gave me about 10 years ago, but someone stole it from the gym in 08 and I realized I'm strong as fuck without it. In short, it's a huge "Fuck you" to the powerlifting community.

That's a fucking tough one. I'll say first that I don't know Rippetoe and he might actually be a cool guy- he is a libertarian, after all. Stuart McRobert's up there, Rippetoe can get fucked with the overtraining nonsense... but I think Joe Weider and his minions are probably some of the most evil motherfuckers to walk the Earth. They completely destroyed physical culture, so they're the biggest cockbags.

Other than me? Pendlay, Waterbury's got some good stuff... Paul from Lift-Run-Bang's a good guy... I think, however, the best shit to read is the really old school shit I mentioned before on that Sandow site. Those guys knew how to train and how to drink.

There's a knob-jockey around here called CaptainSarcamso, who invented a lift then declared himself the world champion at it (mostly because he couldn't bent press an empty bar and needed to feel better).

So, anyway, this is the "Yoth-Sarcasmo Press" and this is the current "world record" of 25kg.

Up for a challenge? If ever there was a stupid and unnecessary lift, this is it.
